Can you keep a secret?
The "Original" Rogues, Jimmy Mitchell, Lars Sloan, and Bryan Blaylock, will be performing at Scarborough on Highland Fling Weekend.

This is just terrible news ... I had used the excuse that the Rogues were not playing to forgive myself not being able to attend R/F gathering and miss Scarborough yet another year ...
;D
Glad to hear you will hear bagpipes at your fair this year!!!

Is the Highland Fling weekend the same weekend as the RenDezvous?  If not, what is the theme of RenDezvous weekend?

There are many places where compromise is expected;
LOYALTY is not amongst them.

Actually, those 3 were also Scottish Mayhem for a year or so. Jimmy & Lars were part of the original incarnation of The Rogues (The Scottish Rogues, and later shortened it to just The Rogues) , but Bryan came along later on, at least according to my CD cases & who's listed there.

It's good to know we'll have awesome piping at least for Highland weekend

Sterling, TRF and Scarborough were the top 3 out of area fairs I have always wanted to visit.
R/F weekend AND the Rogues AND Highland Fling weekend AND a chance to meet the world renowned Merlin?  OMG - I am checking flights now ... and buying a lottery ticket.
The Rogues are my favorite act at MDRF.  I brought home 2 of them ... CD's I mean.

YES! *does a happy dance* I was so sad that we weren't going to see them this season BUT the fact they're coming back for one weekend and that weekend is Rendezvous also?!

*continues doing the happy dance*  ;D
