Prayers for My Mother In Love

Hello all. Been a long time since Ive been active on the forums. Funny how tragedy sends you back to the places you love best.

Last month my MIL went to the Dr for what she thought was a bladder infection. After a brief exam, a CT scan was scheduled and a huge mass was found. (13cm across at its largest). Surgery was scheduled, and the Drs were almost positive it would only be fibrous, because only one of the rarest forms of cancer could cause a growth so large, cancer so rare the Dr didnt even see the reasoning in discussing it with us. May 13th she had a total hysterectomy and after almost 5 hours in surgery, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma. The largest part of the tumor in her pelvis was removed, but not all.

Subsequent tests and scans have revealed the cancer has metastasized to her kidneys, liver, and lungs. The original tumor has again grown so large it is pressing on her sciatic nerve and also causing severe blood clots. She has began chemo, and the doctors seem optimistic. She is in a good deal of pain, and very tired, but has one of the most amazing spirits and senses of humor Ive ever seen.

Please pray for her, for her husband, and for us. We are breaking our lease and moving in with them so I can care for her. We have a long, arduous road before us, and I know that prayers and healing energies are so vital to us in the coming months.
