Well, I had a really nice Thanksgiving. I got to spend a while with my large friendly family, ate really good food (thank goodness everything tasted right!) then when I got tired I came home, rested, and had a lovely chat a little later. It was nice to have such a really good day...

Capt. Amy... did you mention buckskin??? That got me smiling right away... although I'll certainly be interested in seeing the results of the cranberry sauce wrestling. LOL

Hope everyone had as nice a day as I had, and enjoy the rest of the weekend! I'll post tomorrow if I'm not to tired.

Well, looks like I've survived another weekend... it's getting a bit more intense every week, though, but this week was a bit easier because I had a little something for nausea, which also helped my outlook a great deal. I'm still tired and feverish, though, so it seems to be taking longer to get over it all, as well. And the dehydration... I feel like I'm just drying up! I can't drink the water fast enough to stay hydrated, and I'm drinking over a gallon a day... I feel like I'm going to start sloshing when I walk, soon!

Ibuprofen is my friend...

Zemirah, I will be thinking warm and healing thoughts for you this weekend

...our computer at home is kaput so I may not get to check in and see how you're doing...you'll have to keep those dancers in line and the mead and ale flowing... ;D

Hello, my wonderful friends! I have something of a special request to ask of you all this weekend. I have noticed in the Candles for Prayers forum that there are many new threads, with many of our friends, old and new, having some sort of pain  or unhappiness in their lives. I've been through the same thing several times now, and will survive this time, as well. Some of our friends are facing their trials for the first time, however, and need your thoughts and prayers far more that I do at the moment. I know many of you read the new posts there regularly, and post your healing thoughts and comforting words, but for those of you who may not have managed to get there recently, I ask that you find a thread this weekend and send someone a bit of love, comfort and healing, in lieu of posting here.

Of course, the circle continues, regardless... so feel free to stop by any time for a tankard of the finest of meades, ciders and perhaps a keg or two of ale this week! I do know how the kilted ones like their ale... Perhaps a tot of rum is in order also, since it's a bit nippy out, and I would hate for the dancers feet to become so numbed they are unable to continue!!!

On with the revels!!!

Peddlin

Hey, Rani -

I must say that your compassion is amazing. The fact that you can think of others, while suffering through your own adversity, I think will be of great benefit to you, in the end. I am a firm believer that "What goes around, comes around", and your karma should be in very good shape.

I do apologize for not being around for a while, but I was out of town for the entire week after Thanksgiving. I did think of you much, though, and I am glad to hear that you had such a lovely holiday.

I understand that all of this is getting tougher for you, as treatment progresses, but I am sure that, by now, you are starting to realize that you are much stronger than you ever thought you could be. If you ever start to question that, just ask us. We all can see how strong you are, and when things get rough, you just seem to get stronger. You are definitely an inspiration to me, and I am sure that I am not the only one. We are all very proud of you!

I just want to jump back in and let you know that I have been thinking of you, even while I was gone. I wish you wonderful things this holiday season, and for many years to come.

Oh Peddlin,

How sweet of you to say such lovely things! I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful, and that you enjoyed your time away, It's always nice to get out of town for a few days!

I was just noticing last Friday how many new and existing Candles threads there were, and since I have such an overabundance of wonderful friends who post in this thread, and who are so supportive and uplifting, I thought that I might share a bit of my own wealth with a few others who were struggling with their own pain, hardships and fears. It's easy for me to get wrapped up in my own turmoil and forget about what others must be experiencing, but a quick trip to the Candles thread has the happy effect of kicking my butt back where it belongs, to the realization that things are not so bad here, even though this is not much fun, but at least I know what the problem is, and I'm on the road to recovery. Not all of our friends are so lucky. Some are struggling to find a diagnosis, others are dealing with things that can't be changed, and still others are suffering losses that would devastate at any time, but especially during the holiday season.

I am so grateful to all of you who come here and post your support for me, and I don't even have the words to express my love and thanks for each of you! You will never fully know how much you all mean to me, or how much you help me get through every single day of this!!! I have not always expressed my gratitude well, or completely, but I thank the Universe daily now, and not just during the Season, for all the wonderful blessings in my life, amongst which I number each and every one of you!!!

Thank you all so much for being here for me, and for letting me be here for you when needed. This place, and all of you amazing fairmily members truly enrich my life, and ease my path... We are all so very blessed in each other!
