Today I have a good one for you. Not only is it haunted but it hosts Medieval and Renaissance Faires.
Voergard Castle was built before 1520 by Bad Krumpen the powerful bishop of Borglum.
Map coordinates 57.242460, 10.334750
The Bishop preferred the milder climate here, rather than the windswept Børglum Abbey, and lived here with his beautiful aristocratic "vedsoverske" Elisabeth Guildenstern. In 1534 the castle was captured and burned. The legend says that the bishop and his mistress escaped by hiding in a large oven in the kitchen.
