Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle is a former Polish castle that is one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine.

Having a history spanning more than seven centuries, historical accounts date the Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle back to the early 14th century, although recent archaeological evidence dates human existence in the area to around the 12-13th centuries.

Caergwrle Castle, also known as Queen's Hope in scholarly texts, is located in the town of Caergwrle, in Flintshire, Wales.

It was the final castle to be built by Welsh rulers before the loss of Welsh independence in 1283.

Berdavan Castle is located at the top of a hill near the village of Berdavan in the Tavush Province of Armenia.

Berdavan is thought to have originally been built between the 10th-11th centuries, but the present structure is most likely of the late-medieval period.

Burg Landsee is a little east of the village of Landsee, Austria.

The origin of the castle and the settlement Landsee is not definitely known. The name Landsee we find it is first mentioned in the traditional book of pin Göttweig (Benedictine monastery towards Krems). It says, in a document dated 1158, that Count Ekbert III von Pitten named Fohnsdorf Sivrid manger of his estate before his trip to Italy.

Baku Maiden Tower is in the old city of Baku, Azerbaijan.

Built in 12th century, as part of the Walled City of Baku, the Maiden Tower, with the Shirvanshahs Palace dated to 15th century, are an ensemble of historic monuments which have been inscribed under the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Svislach Castle is a ruined castle that lies in the lands of present day Belarus.

Initially when built in the 12th century the castle was established as the center of the Svislach Duchy, it later belonged to the Minsk Duchy, and from the 14th century to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

Casal Humberti was the name of a fortress in the Achziv region of Israel.

Originally called Casal Imbert, it was later named Casal Umberti in 1197. The castle and surrounding area is now a national park.

Happy New Year's Eve to all.
Kasteel de Borrekens lies in the forest just north-east of the town of Vorselaar in Belgium.

The castle was built around 1270 by a member of the Van Rotselaar family who were stewards of the Dukes of Brabant. Borrekens retains the original double moat.

Buzim Castle is a castle in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Originally built in the 12th century as a medieval tower and bailey, the castle was completely rebuilt in the 15th century.

Trapezitsa is the second fortress in the old capital city of Turnovo, Bulgaria.

Excavations show that parts of the fortress are older than its known history, dating from the 8th century onward.

Krivoklat Castle can be found in Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

K?ivoklát was founded during 12th century and belonged to Bohemain kings. Google earth has some 360 photos on the site.

Aalborghus Slot is a castle in Aalborg, Denmark.

It is a half-timbered castle built by King Christian III from 1539 to around 1555 initially as a fortification. Only berms remain of the outer walls.

Hartlebury Castle is in Worcestershire, central England.

It was built in the mid-13th century as a fortified manor house on land that had given to the bishops of Worcester by King Burgred of Mercia (852 - 874).
The castle has been modernized over the centuries so that's its outward appearance barely resembles a castle, most of the moat also having been filled in.

Kronborg is situated near the town of Helsingor (immortalized as Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet), Denmark.

The castle's story dates back to a fortress, Krogen, built in the 1420s by the Danish king, Eric of Pomerania. Kronborg acquired its current name in 1585 when it was rebuilt by Frederick II. According to GHI, the dungeons are haunted.
