The ruins of Linlithgow Palace are situated in the town of Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland.
Map coordinates 55.9785, -3.601111A royal manor existed on the site in the 12th century.[1] This was replaced by a fortification known as 'the Peel', built in the 14th century by English forces under Edward I. The site of the manor made it an ideal military base for securing the supply routes between Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle.

The Château de Trécesson which has preserved its medieval aspect, is one of the most impressive castles of Brittany, France.

The origin of Trécesson castle goes back in the mists of time. It was mentioned as the seat of the lords of Ploërmel and Campénéac from the 8th century.

I'm partially Scottish, partially Irish, and there's a small amount of Native American somewhere in there...

Dryslwyn Castle is a native Welsh castle, sited on a hill roughly halfway between Llandeilo and Carmarthen in Wales.

Built probably in the 1220s by the princes of Deheubarth, Dryslwyn was, with its near neighbour at Dinefwr, for a long time central to the security of the kingdom.

Peqin is an Ottoman castle in the capital of the Peqin District in central Albania.

The ruins are not far from some original parts of the mosque of Abdurrahman Pasha.
The foundations of the fortress of Peqin thought to belong to the Roman period, built about the same time as the Via Egnatia.

Proshaberd (also Boloraberd) is a fortress built in the 13th century by Prince Prosh Khaghbakian. It is located approximately 6-7 kilometers north of the town of Vernashen. Almost one kilometer east is the 14th century Spitakavor Church dedicated to Saint Astvatsatsin.

Burg Neu Montfort Götzis is a medieval castle in Gotzis in Vorarlberg, Austria.

The fortress of Götzis was built on the northeastern foothills of the mountain above the village from 1311 to 1319 by the Counts of Montfort. 50 years later they sold their dominionto to the Habsburgs, in 1363.

Someries Castle (sometimes spelled Summeries castle) is near the town of Luton, in the county of Bedfordshire, England.

It was built in the 15th century by Sir John Wenlock. The name of "Someries Castle" was derived from William de Someries, who had a residence on this site.

Kasteel Vogelsanck is a moated castle located near the village of Heusden- Zolder, in Belgium.

Originally built in 1187, the complex includes additions dating from that time up to the 17th century.
The castle was from 1308 to 1795 the seat of the free Land of Vogelsanck that included the present districts Zolder, Zonhoven, Houthalen, Stokrooie and the southern part of Heusden.

Castillo de Besora is a castle  in the municipality of Santa Maria de Besora, Catalonia, Spain.

The Belogradchik Fortress, also known as Kaleto, is an ancient fortress close to the northwestern Bulgarian town of Belogradchik.

The initial fortress was constructed during the time when the region was part of the Roman Empire.
Bulgarian tsar of Vidin Ivan Stratsimir extended the old fortress in the 14th century, building fortified garrisons before the existing rock massifs.

Zrin Castle (Gradina Zrin) is a ruined castle in Croatia.

In 1347 Louis I took the Zrinski estates around Bribir  in the Hrvatsko Primorje hinterlands (they used to be known as "princes of Bribir" [Knezovi Bribirski in Croatian]) and gave them the Zrin in Croatia, Sisak-Moslavina county. In the past it was the seat of Croatian noble family Šubi?. It was only later that the family called themselves Zrinski, after Zrin. The ruins of a contemporary church are nearby.

The Castillo de Zamora is in the Spanish town of Zamora.
