Just curious.  We spent about 3 hours just sitting in the lot, not moving at all.  We heard there was a 2 fatality, 6 car pile-up with Careflight called but I have absolutely no way to verify that.

Nope sorry, we got out with minimal traffic.  I hope everyone is alright.

I heard head on collision, we may never know. But for sure an accident and screwed traffic bad. Walk over to the camp grounds to row 8. Holler out a Hail and Well met I'm on RF and you will be welcomed to sit around and enjoy camp instead of sitting in the car.
Don't forget to smell the roses, but watch out for the thorns!

We left a bit early, about 4:30, because the grounds were getting a bit crowded for my taste.  No problems getting out then, other than the usual back-up at 1488. As we were walking out, people were still streaming in like it was morning. The Beefeaters say there were almost 38,000 folks there Friday, so if you waited till dusk, maybe it was just traffic?

I was there. My friends and I hadn't yet pilled into our cars when the traffic came to a standstill so we were able to just chill for 3 hours and wait. After the first hour we heard there was a six car pile up and that lifelight was called in, but no way to varify that. So we roamed over to the fire drum circle for a bit to warm up, then over to see what McLotofus was doing, (but we didn't talk to anyone on account of me being super shy and a hardcore lurker,) then we just went back to my friend's trunk and chilled in the back, singing every song we could think of. Despite the traffic not moving for 3 hours, we still made the best of it and carried the fun of the faire on into the night.

There was a fight in the parking lot - all that traffic for a couple of drunken idiots who shouldn't have been driving in the first place.

No, all the traffic was a head on collision between a motorcycle and a van, that happened just as faire let our for the eve.  It was a fatality, one person only.

We camp right across the road from Charlie, aka cop central, so we got a firsthand account from one of the officers.  Kinda tends to happen when you're standing over there giving a report on ANOTHER accident that occurs when a Willy Wonka Look a Like decided to ram his van into the car in front of him and then take off.  It was a crazy weekend, I tell ya.

Prayers to everyone involved in either accident, and thanks to God for no more uh ohs the rest of the weekend!

Sorry, I got my information from a Faire office staffer, so I assumed it to be true.
