greetings all!!!

hope this day finds you well.

ok, here is the update on campfires for this weekend.

we will have a couple designated campfires within the faire grounds this weekend.

for campers in the meadow area...just make sure you have a cleared area for a small campfire and don't light the pasture on fire.  be responsible campers.  if responsible, management will be ok with small campfires outside the faire grounds, proper.  we had rather you use fire pits, if possible.  likewise, i had an email from some forestry person that asked that i not allow outside wood brought into the grounds because of beetles, etc.  there really is no need for folk to have to haul in wood. we have plenty of fallen trees (leave the fallen cedar as those will be used for building and fence posts--but all the oak can but cut up--not hauled off the grounds for personal use at home, but rather cut enough for weekend use...and leave the rest for the next gathering)  yall are free to cut those for firewood--DO NOT use wood in stacks that has already been cut up.  that will be used during the faire season and for general ambiance.

parking is anywhere along the white rock road.  i would not venture too far off or you will likely get stuck. the rains have been persistant and have the grounds soggy.

no camping within the faire grounds, proper.  thats the area surrounded by the cedar fence.  the meadow is fine.  around the lake is fine.  along the back of the white rock road behind your particular booth, if you are a vendor is fine--BUT NOT ON THE FAIRE GROUNDS, please.

we will gather for the bazaar in front of the joust field.  feel free to set up your tables there.

the stage near the blue tent will be where much of the entertainment will be held.  likewise, thats where we will have tables for the potluck. look for the kegs of ale and coolers.

the job faire will take place in front of the faire booth structure in that same area.

some folk need to attend to preparing a fire within the seven sisters stone circle for our midnight drumming session (sure hope we have our tribe's dancers and fire twirlers present).

let's have a great weekend.  protect sherwood, please.  its our place of fun. its a sacred place through our own prayers and homage to the land, nature and the god(s) of our hearts.  it's a creation of our imagination and from our dreams.  protect and watch over these woods with the noblest of intentions and the grandest of wishes and aspirations for it to become something great--ours!!!
