The British Columbia Renaissance festival, July 16-18, 2010, now in its fourth year, wants YOU! Jousts, sword fights, vendors, pirates, wenches, scripted scenes (with King James IV of Scotland and his lovely Queen Margaret - yes, the sister of the young Henry VIII, and did we mention PIRATES?!!!), four stages with musicians and entertainers, kids' rides, falconry, food, pub (with all-day entertainment and Pub Sing at closing), and pirates! Looking for good volunteer actors, including some storyline characters -- excellent opportunity. Got sparkly eyes, a good stage manner and can project in open-air theater-in-the-round?

Ensemble rehearsals are on Sundays. Any villager or additional rehearsals dates will be determined later. Rehearsals will begin no later than April 4th, 2010. MUST show for all day (from 12:30pm onwards) rehearsals in Burnaby (near Gilmore Skytrain station) on Sundays. Parade opportunities are encouraged. Dress rehearsal is on July 15th. Any fighting character MUST show to additional fight practices. Day/evening for such will be determined once fighting cast members are set.
