Next Saturday is MEDIA DAY! COME IN GARB! Bring a dish for a pot luck ands the faire will provide "Refreshments" Hmmm? Remember its Sherwood! There will be entertainment and wear your finest garb and accents as well for the cameras and Newsies! How many will be there? Who knows!

Dedication is obvious at Sherwood as they have been working through all of this wonderful weather that we have had lately. Progress is still measurable on site as buildings near completion and new ones are still being started. Yeah there will be people painting and driving nails right up to opening cannon probably but what the heck huh? Its Faire!

as saturday is the media day, and a volunteer
work day, couple of questions,

first, the only garb I have at the moment is more early Baroque (cavalier),
then medieval, should I still come in garb?

second, as I'll be volunteering should I come in garb, as it will
limit how dirty I will want to get? If its trash detail or something
great, but pulling stumps would be me popping my seams, which
while prolly great for entertainment, not good for actually getting
anything done ;)

My photos from the Sherwood Forest Media day on 2/10 are online at:

It was a beautiful day, the performers were having fun, spirits were high, and the grounds are impressive!  It was also really terrific to see so many people I know from other faires.   It really did feel like faire-mily.
