Just a heads-up. 

Sherwood Forest Faire http://www.sherwoodforestfaire.com/ had a Media Day event last weekend.  This coming weekend is opening weekend of its first year.

There was music (including Circa Paleo! w00t!), dancing, combat, crafts, it was impressive.  Almost like a real day at faire, EXCEPT the majority of people were in garb!  Now that was cool!

I don't know how many media attended as I wasn't giving the tour.  RenGypsy could probably tell ya.

Nice shots!  Lucky you, Zardoz, to see the wedding!  What is that Stonehenge looking ring?  Forgive my ignorance, but I've never been to Sherwood Forest Faire.

Well, for lack of a more elegant description, it is a stone circle of 7 standing stones, called 'The Seven Sisters'

Great pictures!  I was especially happy to see The Trip to Jerusalem Pub.  I've been to the real one in Nottingham, and it's about the same size.  Not kidding, I don't think you could fit 10 people in there.  It's carved into the side of the hill below Nottingham Castle.
