...I left the Uptown theatre well after 1:00 am and stepped into a time warp arriving 30+ years later,  in my home theatre watching Rocky Horror in full HD on a 55" LED flat panel screen.  Good Lord, how can it be that long ago!

Felt strange watching it without newspaper, or squirt bottles, or TP, not even a piece of toast.  No "fishnets" in sight either.

Any other "Rocky" fans out there?  When did you first see the movie?  Maybe you saw it and hated it?  Who's your favorite character?  Just curious.

Me, I loved Columbia.

Some 30 years ago, I got my parents to take me and my best friend to see the movie for my 16th birthday... :o ;D

Dad was less than pleased, but Mom got up and did the Time Warp along with everyone else!!!

Good times!

Oh, my favorite character, could also be your favorite colour, I give you...Magenta!

So what are you doing this weekend?
I'm going to BARF!!!
You're going to...wait...WHAT???

I saw it in the theaters in its initial release- when it was "just a movie." Years later, when it became a regular at the theater every Saturday night I saw it again and was shocked to see the audience participation.

I am really hoping I can go to the live show this year but I just love the movie!
Columbia and Riff Raff were always my favorite.  ;D
I think I was like seven or eight when i first saw it (this is what happens when brothers babysit).

I saw it when it came out as well and observed as it grew into more of an event...To this day, I still say, "Damn it, Janet!"

This is me playing Columbia back in 2001.  I performed with the MPLS cast "Transvestite Soup" for about 5 years.

Oh yeah...saw it for the first time at a midnight showing in Cleveland around 15 or 16 years ago. The nice friends I was with made sure everyone knew I was a "virgin." Good times.  ;D

Let me adjust the settings on my Way Back machine. Ahh, there we go! It wouldve been 1989 or 90. I was fresh out of Basic Training and Tech School and serving at my first active duty station. I had become friends with a group of neo Bohemians and wannabe Wiccans and Pagans (I was young and easily impressed). Upon learning I had never even HEARD of the movie, let alone seen it, they promptly took me to a Friday midnight showing. Needless to say, my young, small town brain was nearly overloaded by the enormous amount of sensory input that is TRHPS! there were people in all manner of costume, actors on stage performing along with the movie, dancing in the aisles and even though I was loudly and publicly declared a virgin, it was one of the best times I've had with my clothes on!

I've seen about half of the movie.  Watching it by myself in my dorm room, that's about as far as I could get through.  Apparently it's severly lacking the "something" that makes it so awesome when watched this way.

Oddly enough, I LOVE many of the songs from it, and throughly enjoyed dancing to Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite w/my stage combat troupe when we performed at haunted houses.  We had people act the main characters, and the rest of the group was backup.  Apparently I do a pretty good Columbia (lip-syncing, anyway.  There's no way I can actually talk like that ;)).

At some point, I need to go see it properly, so I can decide what I really think of the movie.  :)

Oh wow, I think it must have been in the late 70's -- probably 1979 or so.  Had just started working at LSU and it had really caught on (midnight show, participation, the whole bit).  Favorite character -- Columbia.  Loved Meat Loaf's songs, too.
