You know, I remember hearing about the work on getting Sherwood started and was excited about a new faire in Texas...then forgot about it for a long time and when I next heard of it I assumed that it had opened a year ago. Was pretty disappointed to hear that I could have been at the inaugural year had I planned for it better.

Anyway, our little clan has a private blog where we plan for our trips to faires and I have an entry on there about the different Texas faires. I already know when Sherwood is next spring, but was wondering what the ticket prices will be and what the camping will cost...as well as the price of season tickets and if there will be something like season tickets for camping for those who will be camping every weekend.

Also, does Sherwood have themed weekends like TRF and Scarby?

ticket prices will remain the same for 2011

online or at locations like heb--$12.50 for adults/season passes i think will be $50.00

at the gate--$15.00 adults/$8.00 for 6-12/ kids 5 and under are free

camping has been $5.00/person for the weekend.
we have not analyzed if that price will remain, but the assumptions are it likely will.

no themed weekends--every weekend is sherwood and robin.  we have special events and guests on various weekends, tho.

Thanks for the info. From all I've read and seen in pictures, it looks like an awesome faire!! My husband has already started in on wanting an Assassin's Creed Crusader outfit now that there is a medieval faire in Texas!!  :D

since the faire season will be extended by 25% more days, the season pass cost might increase.  this is not a topic george and i have discussed.  at $5/day, the cost for a season pass would be $75.00.  seems like a heck of deal for the amount of fun and entertainment.  we are always thinking about value for our patrons and the cost for a family to attend.
