Sorry to be a bother but I'm at the end of my rope!  Can't download itunes.  Kids want it but my Gateway will not allow access to any Apple site.  I click on any Apple site using any browser and nothing...zip.  The heading "highlights" acknowledging I clicked it but nothing happens.  Every other site pops up but nothing Apple will.  Even when I directly enter an Apple address in the browser window.  So does Gateway hate Apple too or is this a MicroSoft conspiracy to kill Apple?

Hate itunes but my kids have an account back from our old computer and want it back.

What results do you get if you type ping apple.com in a Command Prompt window?

Running Kaspersky...I'll try the ping...

What happens when you type the IP address from the ping command into your browser?

Interesting...The Apple site pop's right up, but clicking on the itunes tab has the same failure to connect.  No error message, just a blank page with a forever slow growing status bar.  By the way, I do appreciate your help.

clicking on any of the Apple toolbar tabs has an identical result.

You may have active content disabled in the browser. If you're using Internet Explorer, try making apple.com a trusted site. Browsers of any source may require that you disable pop-up blocker.

Having your browser(s) set to more secure settings is safer, but it can cause websites to hang. I'm a developer and have five different browsers installed on my machines. I check my work in all five. Some developers aren't quite as diligent. If you don't already have FireFox on your computer, you might add it for cases like this.
