I just verified this and changed my settings.

Caution! FB is posting phone #'s - Go to the top right of your screen, click Account, then click Edit Friends. Go to the left side of your screen, click
Phonebook. Everyone's phone # is being published.  Please repost to let your friends know of this change in security so they may remove their phone # or change their privacy settings.

If you have your security settings set to allow your friends to see your phone number, then it will show up for them in their "Phonebook".

If you look at my Facebook profile, and aren't one of my friends, you won't see my phone number listed in my Contact Information - and I won't be in your "Phonebook".  If we're friends, then you'll see it both places.  I don't know what the default setting is for phone numbers, but I have mine set to "Friends Only".

I just never included it in my info, seemed common sense.

Same here.  If you need my number, I'll give it to you.   :)
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

Apparently mine got published when I activated the Windows Mobile Facebook app.  So any of you with smartphones, make sure you're not exposing any info you don't want to share.  As MG said, if you need my number, I'll give it to you.

Maybe.  ;)

Like David, I've got any information I've input set to be shared to friends only.

The part that I'm curious about is their wording on the phone app implementation. Apparently it gave the option to find contacts in the phone on Facebook when it was activated. If I'm reading it correctly, doing that allowed it to import your phone's contact info.

Since I don't have a smartphone and can't see my own record in the phone book, I'm not sure what shows up for me. There are a couple of people that I know who have smartphones and me in their contact list. I wonder if it imported my info and, if so, where it's stored and if it shows up anywhere?
