Has anyone ever ordered any of their patterns?  Apparently their pattern catalog has over 1100 patterns from medieval to 1950's.   Sadly, the website has almost no presence....... they like to do things the old- fashioned way.  I'm going to buy the catalog of patterns just for curiosity's sake.  Anyone else ever looked through it?


Which brings me to another question...... why do pattern manufacturers release patterns with only hand drawn illustrations???  Is it too much for me to expect a photograph of the finished product?  I assume they made the actual garment at some point.   It seems like a lot of the patterns that can be ordered online come with artist's conceptions.........  does this bother anyone else?

I have a copy of the catalog. It used to be the SCA garbing bible since it has patterns for everything from shoes to headwear. I have bought the corset pattern, 2 shirt patterns and a ghillie pattern from them. I probably would buy more if they had online ordering.

No I have never heard of them before, but from the mention I think I might have to take a look.

And I do agree with you, I am more likely to buy a pattern that I have seen the completed project from.  It doesnt matter to me if it is the pattern makers, although I prefer that, or someone elses pictures of the project, but I do want to see what the finished project would look like before I make it.  I have seen some concepts drawings that looked great, but once they were made they didnt look so great, so I am kinda weary about buying those patterns.

So funny that this came up today! Just yesterday I ran across the catalogue I ordered more than twenty years ago, and wondered if I should hang on to it or toss it finally!

Yes, I have a paper catalog of theirs. I ordered patterns from them before I had a computer. They were good.

I did the very same thing about a week ago!  After I checked their (lack of) website, I decided to keep it.  Looks like catalog is still the way to go with them.
