At TRF and Scarby I've seen an outfit that is a scarf crisscrossed over your breasts for the top (looks like silk) and skirt/pants to match.  I can't seem to find exactly what I'm talking about online.  Will be about 4 months pregnant for TRF and I would like to wear something comfortable and cool.  I know I didn't give much info, but does anyone have an idea of what I'm talking about?

LadyFae

I know what you are talking about- we have a "booth" at MNRF that sells that type of belly dance garb.  It is right by the Gypsy Stage, but that is all I can tell you about them right now!  =(  Sorry!

Did you try posting down in the TRF and Scarby forums? Maybe one of the locals down there might know the name of the stand or have photos of what you're looking for. There's a vendor at PaRF that sells wrap-around skirts and dresses, but I don't believe they have pants...

They are called The Dancing Skirt if you wanted to check it out anyway: http://www.thedancingskirt.com/see_the_dancing_skirts

Enchanted Silks is the name of the booth at the MNRF! I bought a Silk Velvet shawl from them last year in a deep Crimson thqt is cut in a floral pattern. Lovely

Can you wait until fair and buy it in person from the vendor?

Another option for you might be an Irish dress (like this one, for an example: http://stores.renstore.com/-strse-115/Irish-Dress/Detail.bok) with a long chemise. Its really only fitted up top so it would be able to accommodate a baby-belly and shifting size.

Jiva silk...at least thats the name of the place at scarby...you can't order anything on their website, unless it has changed recently, but I believe you can call in an order. its real silk, and definitely worth having. I don't have a full set of their stuff but I wish I did (stupid money troubles)

This is the same booth that is at TRF.

If you can't find the original vendor, or if you want to see somthing different, Moresca makes a bodice called the Khadija.  I've seen pregnant women wearing it at faire, and afterwards, it looks great worn over another bodice.  Gives a different, pretty look.

Thanks, everyone!  I think the Jiva Silks is what I was looking for.  I have the Khadija bodice, it just gets slightly uncomfortable after wearing all day.  That's what I normally wear.  I love the Irish dresses, but am not much of a seamstress, and not sure if I could afford one :(  Can't find any info online for Enchanted Silks, so I'll just wait til faire. Shouldn't be too hard to change there :)  Thanks everyone for your help!

If you go buy jiva silks from their shop they will show you a few ways you can tie your top and give you good suggestions based on chest size, if you want to wear a bra with it, and things of that nature. They do have a changing room thing and have no problem helping you get dressed into it...watching the pros tie your top makes it much easier to do on your own as well...and they have lots of other fun comfy silk things made out of saris and such, some with sleeves for those cooler days and such...needless to say I'm quite a fan :)

Another thing you might try is looking at places that sell belly dance wear. I think I've seen the wrap tops you're describing there. Or a little choli top (in a natural fiber) might be another good option.

The thing is, I'm not sure an entire ensemble of silk top and silk pants will really be that much more affordable than a simple Irish dress.

Bummer that you can't find Enchanted Silks in person.  =(  A couple of ladies there wanted to henna my belly when I was pg with my yougest, I think that would've been AWESOME!!!!  =)

Definitely not cheap.  The outfit I was lusting over a few years ago was over $300.
