Better late than never? I certainly hope so...

Greetings friends,

I'm not sure how many of you remember me, but I'm the lad who had built the large maille hauberk out of split-rings, served as the King of Spain's bodyguard in the 2007 season, and at the time, was married to the hispanic girl with ultra-long hair that reached down to the ground.

I sort of disappeared towards the very end of the 2007 season due to life's circumstances, which unfortunately in this case, refer to the downfall and failure of my marriage.  Despite our outwardly pleasant appearance, we always had fatal flaws in our relationship which prevented us from ever truly being happy together.  I won't bore you with the details, suffice it to say that we've been officially divorced for a few months now and have both moved on with our lives.

Now that this is behind me, I hope to rejoin the faire in one form or another and continue building old friendships and making new ones alike.  The title of my post, better late than never?  It represents my hope that despite this years MiRF being already in progress, I might be able to participate and climb back on the horse, so to speak.  If someone needs a banner carrier or someone to work a couple hours out of the day at their booth, I'd love the opportunity to do so for a participant pass and maybe a few shillings for any hours worked outside of parade time.

It is truly sad that I had to disappear once again just as I was getting fully back into the Faire, however now that the veil of darkness that was suffocating me in the past has been lifted, there is nothing else standing in the way of me immersing myself into what I hope to be a long, enjoyable endeavor lasting many years to come.

I suppose I'd like to ask for a bit of help with this, if you'd kindly indulge me.  If you guys know anyone looking for a banner carrier or to fill in a couple hours a day at a booth, please let me know.

I appreciate your time and hope to be seeing you guys again soon.  I might just journey to Hollygrove this weekend regardless of whether or not a banner is waiting for me to carry it.

Take care,

Edward

Dude...... we most definetly miss your smily face!!  Please stop by the booth and I will see who is still in need of a banner carrier  Right now most have kids carring 2 or more banners, I do not know why. Lots of things have changed, you just have to go with it.

Thanks for the replies.

Darkranger - Well spoken sir.  I'll keep that in mind.

Ladyfair - Great to see you guys still at it, I've missed you also.  I'll definitely be stopping by, where is your booth located?

So a lot has changed since 2007 has it?  Hmmmm... well one *good* thing that's changed is the weapons policy, so I can carry my trusty blade Radiance whether I'm a participant or playtron.  But from the tone of your post I imagine things have gotten a bit hectic in my absence?  Can you sum up the really big changes for me?  :)

Ladyfair

hhmmmm.... things that have changed since 2007

lost a bunch of beautiful trees to that elm bug or ash bug...

they have expanded the faire grounds even more

new shows.... new food items...new vendors......

I think we have the prettiest faire around!!! ;D

There was a post for 'help wanted' I think, somewhere for someone wanting a booth person to help out. It is on the forum somewheres....

Also, post something on the area of the forum where it is specifically for posting you have some services to offer. ALso, check out the help wanted, that may be where I found something.

Maybe next year you can try out for the fair!

And good luck on the new chapter in your life. Just remember, the people we meet in our lives are for a reason - they aren't always forever, we are just supposed to learn from them. And sometimes the lesson seems cruel.

Best of luck!

Beauty is found in those who take the time to build you up.

Yep Magic Cypher calligraphy...  I worked for them back in 2006.  I sent them an email but got a failure to deliver message.  I'll just stop by on saturday, though they usually want hawkers that work all day, which isn't what I'm looking for.  But we'll see!

And yes, now that the past is behind me, I can relax and find the girl who is TRULY right for me...  whoever and wherever she may be.  It's all for the best.

Thanks for the reply and see you on Saturday!

Remember you? But of course - Which of us Ladies can forget those blissful evenings when you graced Venice with your....eh....pleasant company?!?

It has been far too long since we have enjoyed your smile - perhaps you will come to the Salona next to the Castle and re-introduce yourself to Bianca and Calliope?
