While were kind of on the subject of dressforms does anyone have a suggestion for how to make it taller...I have all the dimensions right, but I'm 6 foot tall and its shoulder height only gets up to like 6" below my shoulder height...so I can't use it to adjust hemlines on anything...I have it pulled up as high on the pole it can go without falling off, but its still not tall enough...
Things are shaping up to be...
Pretty. Odd.

Sounds like you need a trip to the hardware store, what if you get a length of metal or plastic pipe that fits just inside the dressform's stand, the form would then rest on top of the smaller pipe. Adjust the smaller pipe to the right height, mark it and then put a clamp where it meets the stand pipe to keep it from slipping down inside.

Why not just put some wooden blocks underneath the stand, making a little platform for it?
