Well, while you're in there, Tink, maybe you should give the place a nice dusting, and a sweep, as well!  I'm sure it could use it!!!  Or maybe it just needs to be hosed down...  :P  :D

Merlin the Elder

Just make sure you stay quiet while you're in there...the echo is deafening.

By the way, I'm thinking of changing my name from Merlin the Elder to Rodney Dangerfield, Jr (I said as I straightened my tie).

I truly admire the fae as they make this senile old man feel young at heart and often distract me from whatever trouble I am dealing with at the moment. I have never seen bubbles blown by hand Im dissapointed Just how do you do this and please dont say with magic.

So it won't say magic... but the amount of patience required is astounding. You simply mix up appropriately strong bubble mix. I have a receipe which involves dish soaps, water, and some syrups. Then you cover your hand and slide it open to make a circle like you would have with a bubble wand. When you are done blowing, you slide the circle closed and you have a bubble with nothing but your hand.

The picture above is a bubble mid progress.

The one below... is the finished product.

Somehow she still makes it sound easy, doesn't she?  It isn't, trust me!  My oldest daughter spent an entire afternoon getting it figured out though.  She can't make them quite as large as Jewel does, but she loves to make them anyway!  (She is also a Water Faery, btw)  She wants to put glitter in her bubbles, though.  Is that even possible?

On the note of the original topic...I have had people ask me if I'm a devil/demon before. I'm actually mute in character, so this becomes a fun game. Horns + animalistic legs + cloven hooves + not a natural skin color (green) = devil is seems. Hummm. At least I've had no crazies....yet.

I'm used to green as a natural skin color being at Sherwood.  At least three of our fae are that color, perhaps four.

Someone glitter bombed Queen Margaret this weekend at Scarby. I did not see it happen but the upshot is that she got metal/plastic glitter bits in her eyes and it hurts like hell.
Please do us all a favor and if you know someone who thinks glitter bombing is fun; try to change their mind.

Yes, PLEASE, if you are going to glitter people, ASK PERMISSION BEFORE you do it, ESPECIALLY performers/cast. Aside from the headache of getting it out of expensive costuming, consider the implications to a person's health: Scratched/torn cornea, breathing issues for asthmatics or others with compromise lungs, or skin allergies.

OOOHHH she must have been fit to be tied!

I dont know if I said this before but remember boys and girls glitter is like bodily fluids keep it to yourself unless you know that the person that you are sharing with is ok with it.

Plus that can be considered an aggravated assault in the State of Texas and you do not want that to deal with.

I guess I kind of understand the theory of fun behind glitter-bombing (the whole suprise factor, I mean)  But what I dont understand is after all the explanations and warnings about glitterbombing cast and unsuspecting people, why would someone still do it?  I personally love glitter, but I understand that not everyone feels the same way about it as I do, and I respect their boundaries, as I would with any other substance.  (You dont see me running around throwing cheese at people)
