ohhh Lady Kett that is awesome.

Personally I think it would just be awesome to show up a few of us at the museum in complete garb, but thats just the goofy side of me itching to get out.

Even better, maybe they'll let me bring in my old garb and exchange it for something new.  :)

*" Why yes officer, I did arrive wearing this lovely lavender gown...why do you ask?*

We did go to the exhibit, and thought it was awesome. Most of the costumes you could walk around a bit to see not only the front but the sides and some of the back. And there was a space set aside for underpinnings. Keira Knightly's gowns from The Duchess were on display, and we had JUST seen the movie - and I was drooling over the hat with the fox tails. Quite fascinating. Added some movies to our Netflix list too! They had some great artwork too on both the lower and upper levels. Lots of Picasso's, though mostly etchings and lithographs but there was at least one original (probably more, it blurs after awhile!). We thought it was well worth the $14 per person price of admission.

We also went to the Vatican Splendors exhibit at the Museum of Art Ft. Lauderdale. Interesting but not as fun as the Boca Raton MOA. Although not being Catholic may have put a damper on it. I imagine if you were a devout Catholic the exhibit would be much more moving to you on a personal level. There were a few things labeled as "never seen outside the Vatican" and one ginormous Michaelangelo sculpture that was GORGEOUS! That man had some serious talent.

If you're local, or going to be in the neighborhood, I'd highly recommend you visit!

Oh, WOW, Lady Kett!  How cool that you were able to go (I'm SOOOO jealous)!!!

Were you able to take any pictures?  Do they allow cameras?  DO tell & share the pics if you got any!

Lady Kett

No cameras allowed unfortunately, so no pics :(

And there were guards everywhere so not much chance of sneaking a cell phone pic either.

Auryn

Glad to hear you enjoyed it Lady Kett,
I plan on going in the next couple of weeks- slammed at work so not much room on the weekends.

Thanks for the heads up on the cameras, I won't even bother trying.
Though it seriously sucks cause I was hoping to sneak in some pictures.

That sucks that they raised the admission, gotta make sure to bring my student ID.

I would LOVE to carpool from the Tampa area. I hate long drives alone.
