I am thinking about attending this faire and would like to camp. Can anyone suggest a good campground that is near to faire?

THANKS!

Merry

Is it happening?  It disappeared from our schedule and many of our guild neighbors schedules also!  My guild usually does a walkabout there.

It lists the dates as October 4th & 5th 2008

Have you been before? I have family that lives up that direction and we have been trying to attend this faire for a few years, but something always ends up coming up.

How does it compare to the Valhallla faire?

THANKS!

The Shasta Dragonwood Faire is smaller then Valhalla.  Actually I think it is the smallest faire there is, but we are working on that.  The faire was under another name for years and almost every spring it was rained out.  Now it is held in the fall and in the park.  Last year the weather was perfect, especially for garb clad people, not to hot not to cold.  I didn't get to see a lot of the acts and parades because I was dealing with a wedding that wasn't planned well, but was garbed well ;D .  I thought it was a wonderfully done faire, although I still haven't been to any others.  Most of the shops were selling homemade wears or at least it looked homemade.  All were staffed by friendly helpful people.  We only have 3 food booths, but it was great food.  At least one beer booth.  I would love to see more people and more booths come in to make our little faire bigger, but I guess that will take time since nobody knows about us.  The area is a large park with lots of trees for shade or areas with lots of sunshine.  We seriously need to get more garbed people up here.  Garbed or not everybody I saw had a smile on their face so that should tell you something.

It's a month until our little faire kicks off.  I'm so excited I can't wait to see what is happening this year.

Two days until the Shasta Dragonwood Faire.  I was checking the website, since they upped the price of the tickets and there will be more food and more homemade booths this year.  HUZZAH!!!!!!  Oh yea and two celtic bands!!!

I don't think crepes were period, but anything new is wonderful to me.
