Got the breakdown of what they need-

High point elementary needs volunteers to help serve food to the firefighters, and the Navasota FD needs the following supplies:  any additional bulldozers/front end loaders that can be found, foot spray, lysol, shop towels, eye wash (not drops), and a butt-tonne of water and Gatorade.

Additionally, First Baptist Church in Navasota needs toiletries, bedding, mens clothes and womens work clothes.

I just heard on ktrh radio the fire is only 35% contained.

I read yesterday a church in Magnolia is a drop off point for donating items.  I believe it is the Baptist church-the one that is super sized.  Might want to call and confirm though.

Posted on the live blog from kbtx:

Care packages can be taken to the Millican Volunteer Fire Dept. for those who have been going out and helping.

Current Needs:
1. Energy Bars and sandwiches for emergency responders taken to High Point Elementary School on 105; they have enough ice, water and drinks.
2. Evening meals for fire fighters still needed
3. The Red Cross is also accepting monetary donations to replinish supplies. This can be taken to the Navasota High School.

They're also taking cash donations at their other locations. The Eagle newspaper is taking donations of clothing and necessities for evacuees, too.

that's the confusing part- I see severall neighborhoods between Tood Mission and P-ville that have tree names. Even KBTX is confused, now.

Hmm... I believe the one I'm thinking of is almost due north of T.M. and it has a Cypress st.  ... pretty sure, anyway.

I just hope they manage to warn everyone who news to be warned!!!
