You guys need to check out the pastry and dessert case at Queen's Pantry. They have pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake blondies, Boston Cream Pie, and all sorts of OMFG good sweets. GET IN THERE!

The Queen's Pantry is ALWAYS my first stop in the gates!  I love their Quiche Lorraine and Kolaches! ;)  The Dirt Fairy and I share those and 2 ice cold milks!   ;D

Finally got to try the Pork Sundae.  Yes - Awesome.

Also tried the Chili Mac & Cheese.  That was fantastic also.

We tried the pork sundae - I think that's my new favorite at Faire!

Greek food is not at all something I'm used to seeing at Faire (MI, AZ, PA) so I had to check it out. The chicken corfu was so yummy! My friend got the seafood one as well and really enjoyed it. A little pricey for me, but it was the only real "meal" we ate the whole weekend.

Really liked the Chicken Biscuit Pot Pie...think it was at Queen's Pantry? Very tasty, warm, filling. Great for a chilly evening.

Also, the chocolate cherry brownie at Queen's Pantry was amazingly good. Got it on a whim on the way out sunday and wished I had gotten it earlier, so i'd have known to get more! lol.

I thought it was good but guess I didn't find what everyone else found in it.  Here is my 2011 TRF munchie review for any that care:

Ice Tea - I thought this was a nice edition this year.  Had not seen it in the past.  I liked that it gave you a cup of ice to use and that it wasn't a soda.
Mead - I liked the Honey Mead quite a bit.  The Paragon in the Greek area needs to get the bottles colder though so that it is more enjoyable
Turkey Legs - I really enjoyed them this year.  They cooked the fat and skin down so that it was not slimy and it had a good smoke flavor
Fried Mushrooms - First weekend they were horrible and cold.  After that they were always hot and tasty.
Frog Legs - Incredibly clean and tasty.  Also rather large.
Coconut Fried Shrimp - I didn't like the breading on them at all.  It totally hid any flavor of the shrimp
Steak on a Stick - I really liked the one in the French area.  They had the spicing correct.
Cadillac George Bar - It needed something.  Not sure what but it was slightly dry.
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - I think TRF is able to find some outstanding strawberries but the chocolate they use tastes like cheap Magic Shell.
Chocolate Dipped Banana - Can you believe this year was my first time to eat one.  I thought it was really good.
Fruit and Cheese Platter - For anyone who didn't find this little gem you missed out.  Cheese, Fruit, Veggies, Dip, and Crackers for $6.00
Fruit Salad - I loved this on the hot days.  They keep it really cold and the grapes were outstanding and refreshing
Funnel Cake - It's funnel cake.  It's sugar coated fried dough.  What more needs be said?
Mixed Nuts - A nice little salty treat while listening to the Ironhill Vagabonds
Turkey Tenders - These little fried pieces of turkey were really good and juicy
Seafood Boat - The chips were good.  The fish was great.  The shrimp were nasty.
Beef Empanada - Was cold and I was not that impressed with it
Pork on a Stick - This was awful and ice cold
Pork Sundae - It needed more gravy in the pork layer but it was tasty
Super Nachos - They were OK.  Needed to be arranged on the plate better.  Looked like everything was just thrown on the plate
Nachos (Chips and Cheese) - These were really good
Shish Kabob - This was really good.  Juicy chicken with nice char on the veggies
Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich - If you are going to fry a PB&J you need to put on more Peanut Butter but it was pretty decadent.
Cajun Fried Crawfish - These were alright actually compared to other fried seafood I had out there they were up at the top, under the fish
Cajun Fried Chicken Breast On A Stick - OMG.... please put these on the menu in the afterlife because they are awesome
Kettle Corn - TRF has really good kettle corn.  Right amount of salt and sweet
Polish Combo Plate - This is one of my favorites.  You must try this.  It does have some cost to it but it is all really good.
Queen's Pantry Iced Cappucino - This is a great drink on a hot day and 2011 had many of those
Thai Chicken Wrap - It was good the first time and the second time I had it they needed more peanut sauce
Shepherd's Pie - I didn't like it
Queen's Pantry Desserts - OMG.... these were baked by an angel.  They are all wonderful and really good priced for the portion
Sea Devil Fish and Chips - Good dish but kinda costly
Pickle - Nice and ice cold and at $2.00 they are a good pick me up
Pretzels - I think the way they carry them around is cool but everyone I got was hard because of being out in the air on the pole
Jerky - I hated it.  It was thin and tough to chew
Cinnamon Roasted Nuts - Very tasty for being the King's Nuts
Gyros - Very good (kinda messy)
Pork Souvlaki Combination Plate - It was good but the pork had alot of fat

That is all I remember.  Keep in mind we are a family of 7 and we were there 12 of the 17 days.  With the kids I may of just had a bite of something I am reviewing.  Overall what I can say is the TRF offers something for everyone's tastes.  Sometimes you just have to find that hidden gem.

How soon until 2012?

Well, we didn't get to try the pork sundae, but we DID discover something new this year with the baked potatoes that are at the Steak-on-a Stick place close to the gates just down from the Queen's Pantry.  It's not on the menu, so you have to know about it to order it...  It's called the Kitchen, and it's a combination of ALL of the different things that can be put on their potatoes!!!  It has Beef Stew, BBQ, Chili & Cheese, Broccoli and Cheese, and sour cream and butter... or you can get it with any combination of those, and it's STILL only $6!!!

It's definitely our new favorite and I do believe we even converted a couple of new believers, as well!  :D

This was my favorite snack at festival this year.  Just love that kettle corn!
