They have been great so far, sending me production notes and pics. Final casting is done and ready for the plating shop.

Are the buttons Silver or Gold? I cannot tell. I hope they are a tarnished gold when all is said and done. Silver buttons are going to clash noticibly.

I think he asked for an Antique Silver, nothing shiny.  But I'll let him tell you for sure.   But we have them coming that is a positive thing.
Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

Yes they are supposed to be antique silver, per the pic I sent.

Hope that will work, as this pic is supposed to be the original buttons used. If not, maybe I can get them to plate in another color.

We had a couple of those for a job recently.  Very nice they are too.

Antigue Silver might work. It all depends how close you want the Teague Coat to look to the Original.

I emailed them that pic and asked what they thought and if they thought gold was better to do those and I will pay extra if needed.

Let mke know too because I will need 3 and 1/2 dozen of those buttons for the Teague Coat I will be doing for an August 2012 wedding.

Yep, I know you need them for another coat and want you verrah happy with them as well.  ;D

Not to mention I will be wanting to work out a deal with a couple Pirate stuff vendors so I do not get stuck with the whole lot.  ;)

Nice buttons! I am sure you will have no problem peddling what you don't use.

Captain Teague

Well, they don't do gold, at least not antiqued, it is shiny. So I ordered them in antique brass instead.

This is their color card.

I think that sounds better anyway, the originals don't look like shiny gold at all. Looking forward to see the final result!

Captain Teague

They were shipped last night. (overseas time zone )

Final pic, sorry it is kind of a bad image, but I get the idea:

Original pic I had sent them when ordering:

I think they did a great job. Now just to check the sturdiness and overall quality when they get here.  ;D

Buttons are in. And they look awesome. I tried as hard as I could to bend one with my fingers and it laughed at me. The back yoke looks just as sturdy. They LOOK small, but I matched them up to the Pirate coat I have already and it is just a teeny bit smaller than those. Lady Kathleen, I will get my coats worth and your other request of buttons to you as soon as we get a break in the Holiday chaos to do so.

Anyone else, let me know as I have a lot of extras and I am not greedy. A dollar apiece.  8)
