It's going to be one of those days...

I've tried to purchase Friends of Faire passes for Scarborough and Sherwood today. The Scarby site tells me the transaction is declined but my credit card company says they don't see it and they haven't declined it. The Sherwood site tells me they don't take that type of card, even though it's listed.

I was going to go shopping today but now I think I'll just hide in my house! Me and my credit cards are definitely on a different wavelength today!!!

Tomorrow is another day!

Anyone else have strange goings on? Maybe Eddie is in the Space Time Continuum? (Bonus points if you get the reference!)

Does having the phones lines at work get stolen count?

The phone cables for the entire block were stolen overight the other day by copper thieves. This is the 10th time that its happened since May.
Oddly enough, none of the recyclers are reporting anyone trying to sell copper wire.

Wow that reminds me one time when a driver at one of our suppliers at work took an entire shipment of aluminum building material bound for a customer worth about 100k in order to sell it to the recyclers.  Luckily the recycler reported the theft to the company and the guy got fired.

When my baby brother was having his house built, once it got to a certain point, he began sleeping inside. As I recall, he thwarted more than one attempt to rip off materials. Ah! The world `tis such a lovely place... :-\

Apparently copper is in demand. Earllier this year thieves took the copper gutters and downspouts right off of our town post office, a 1930s historical landmark.
I came, I saw, I skipped to my lou.

Copper is really high right now. Had some clown near here try to cut it down off the pole. It fried him.

My brother had someone steal copper from the outside part of his air conditioning unit before Thanksgiving. They tried to get more but he woke up and they left in a hurry!

Every time copper price goes up, some fool here central Texas tries to pull it out of a main junction, on ground, fenced in, with lots of big "Danger - High Voltage" signs around.

Must be real idiots, not just inebriated.  Our drunks know better than to risk their pickup trucks for loading copper that close to the lines.

Oh, well, Darwinism in action.

Wow...people are crazy. The copper thefts, I mean...

In other news, got our passes today! Me and my credit cards and the interwebs are once again in harmony.  Squee.

More than a few local thieves have mistaken the power lines for the phone lines since they run one above the other. One man was literally melted to the pole and had to be cut away by paramedics.

Glad you got your passes too. Ours just arrived in the ,mail this weekend.  ;D
