Path from campgrounds to parking?

Does, anyone *coughmpullencough* know of a walking path from the campgrounds to the parking lot?  I've heard there is one but where it is/begins, I don't know.

I don't know if anyone in the know (coughMikePcoughRengypsycough) is following this yet. 

I may be mistaken, but I believe there was sort of a path perhaps in year 1 and there was talk of creating a path between the campground proper through to where the castles on wheels park in front.  However, I do not think that was accomplished this year. 

Basically have to drive from campgrounds via the highway and Old Potato Road to front parking lot cause it would be a really long, long walk.

Polly is accurate to the best of my knowledge.  The original foot path was blocked off and the proposed new camp ground entrance didn't get funded this year.  Maybe next year.  Fingers crossed  (o:

we are working on it for year 4.  we diverted more resources to advertising this year as a primary focus, but the entry to camping from parking is on our agenda.  keep the ideas and concerns coming.  it's all of our faire.  cheers, rengypsy

Yes, we had problems with folks camping in the Faire parking lot jumping the fence into the campgrounds (and also into the Faire area). Thus we built a higher fence.

As RenGypsy indicated, we will have an entrance road cut from the Faire main parking lot into the Patrons campgrounds that will be the only entrance to the Patrons campgrounds (the billboard gate becomes an emergency vehicle entrance only). The campgrounds security/ticket booth will shift to the new location. The cost of clearing the path and laying down the necessary gravel prohibited us from doing this change for the 2012 season.

I rarely post, however, I feel I should defend my crew since it is more than likely us about whom mullein is referring.  We never at any time broke into the fairgrounds.  We also never at any time climbed over the wire fence.  We did, however, go under it in order to walk to the main campgrounds because we thought it would be irresponsible and dangerous to drink and drive, and we figured ( erroneously I guess ) that would have been a bigger problem.  We cleaned up our area every weekend, and left it better than we found it.  We even cleaned up around in the parking lot area a little.  So nice to know we were/ are such a problem.  Thanks
