Going to add some projects.
  - Two outfits for Frankenfeast...I have some ideas and sketches started and plan to start next week.
  - Iron Dress!!  So excited for this one and have it all worked out on paper.  As most of you know, this dress has to be made from your stash, so this is pretty exciting, as I might actually use up some of the fabric that I have bought without really knowing what to do with it.

What has gotten me going was joining a 'stash busters' group.  We have to report in how much we have done per week, and how much we have cleaned out of our stash & UFO's. I'm making it a game for myself.  For every yard of stash fabric I use up I get a gold star.  I loose stars for buying.  For ever UFO I finish I get done I get 5, and 10 if I complete a 'mother ship'- a UFO that has been around a year or more. Greater than 5 years I'm giving myself 15.  If I want anything I have to 'buy' it with stars. Good insentive to use up what I have on hand before I can buy more.
My husband and I are cracking up over your UFO and "mother ship" UFO! That's hysterical!
Hey I cashed in a 3 of my 5 stars so far to get another 5 stars, so I'm not going to complain to loudly.  Besides it gives me a laugh and keeps me focused on getting stuff done. This year so far I have gotten nearly 20 yards out of my sewing room and 7 of those were stash, and 2 of those were UFO's.  I've got one more UFO to finish up tonight(hopefully). The Pink pirate (aka my hubby) is liking not having to buy clothing for my daughter and that all those unfinished projects are finally going to leave my sewing room.
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

I love the star system for stashes.  I must try this.

All the sewing I had planned for myself is put onto the back burner for now. But I am going to make my son super hero tunics. He is going to be so excited, he has asked for Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Superman.

All this after I finish up my garlands, thankfully they wont take that long to do the way I have them planned.

My sewing schedule is taking me into October now. Nothing new for me this year.

Since that mention in the Wedding Issue in RENAISSANCE Magazine, I am taking orders for 2013 already.

Ouch! I was hoping to sneak in for a pillbox hat to go with my ensemble... I could then do my tunic only for those days when so many layers are too hot.

Tell me, Lady Kathleen, since you are intimately—so to speak—familiar with my garb, if I were to wear the trousers and shirt, and the cape, would that be an inappropriate use of the ensemble?

So I'm just going to ignore that it's already almost May and add my 2012 Goal list as it would've appeared around New Years anyway.

Move across country and set up new work space
New Hat for Sir Robert Sidney (my brother) (Commission)
Court suit for Sir Thomas Gresham (Commission)
Finish "Green-clyffe" court ensemble for myself
Make set of sleeves and forepart with this great fabric I just found
Make a set of sleeves with this other great fabric I found
Make an Henrician gown for myself

That last one is probably going to be the most difficult for me. Not in terms of making but in designing and motivating myself. I've decided that since so many faires I want to visit are set in Henry's court I should make an appropriate gown. But the thing is, I'm just not attracted to the Henrician form. I think it's the sleeves/shoulders that bug me most. I just don't think it's flattering/pretty and it looks antiquated to my Elizabethan eye. So if I can design something that I really like and stick with it to completion I will feel very accomplished.

Also for those of you who have blogs about your work, message me your site so I can link to it from my blog!

My sewing schedule has been entirely swallowed by the new baby schedule. So, here are my goals:

1. find the sewing room.
2. remove all the new baby stuff from the sewing room.
3. organized the sewing room so I can find the projects/supplies.
4. find the sewing room.
5. make stealth baby a new jedi robe. For some reason, the old one doesn't work anymore.
6. sleep??
