Using Rennie Math, I think it's only a couple days until RenDezvous, but I don't know RM well enough to say with any certainty. Everyone travel safely, and we shall see you shortly!

Rennie Math is an invention of some whacky Texan... You might be able to figure it out from going back through the TRF countdown thread.  Goes something like: weekends don't count, today doesn't count because it's almost over, travel days don't count...so for me, that just leaves 2 days in Rennie Math. (It's kind of a drug-induced version of "dog years")

Edit: ...and by the way, one week from this moment we shall be within the walls of Fairhaven...

I relinquish the countdown to the minions of Hades... For all practical purposes, I am leaving for the Carolinas at this moment...in my mind. So, In my mind, I'm going to Carolina...I think I'll write a song...

I have a couple of days of work to put in to make sure they can survive in my absence, and we will begin our journey in earnest during the wee hours of Woden's Day.

Well, I can breathe easier now. Last night I finished my wife's reversible forepart and her second set of sleeves. She now has one new dress and two sets of sleeves with matching foreparts for RenDezvous.

Now, for backpacking the following week, I get to sew up the underquilt for my hammock so I do not literally freeze my butt off. Just eight seams to sew, and then I'm packing ...

I have to get all my packing done tonight as there's Pubbing to do tomorrow after a day at work! And my flight is early on Wednesday!

Trish - at least I have Wednesday and Thursday night to pack... but I have all my favors to finish.

Our suitcase is at 40 lbs... have to carry almost all our belt stuff in the carry on alone with my jewels and coins.  Wanna bet they stop us and make us open our case to ensure we are not cat burglers?

Yippee -- last day of work, and it's 11:55 a.m., and I just finished the pile of work that was dumped on me yesterday afternoon. (I don't think anyone expected that -- including me.)

All I need to do now is get through a meeting this afternoon, and I'm out of here and prepping for the trip and RenDezvous and backpacking -- oh my!

Bag is ready and sitting by the front door! Just have to throw in my toothbrush! Last time I weighed it, it was at 44 lbs. But hey, that's garb for two! And includes my beach towel!
