I am from what was left of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival
Today we had our first day back to try and recover things
I was amazed by the amount of non-cast people who showed up and almost quadrupled our workforce. There were so many people there they had to get extra food brought in to feed us
Honestly I feel this year will be one of the best years we have had. In the past it was only the cast who really took care of everything. This year there will be patrons who can say they helped rebuild the Queen's Pavilion they helped repair the performing stages, or they helped with cleaning out of the Dripping Dog Inn

Just got this from faire management

THANK YOU! Thanks to every person that came out to help, ~200 people. Thanks to those that sent equipment, And especially those that Brought equipment, tools, or supplies with them. I think we had one backhoe five tractors and three ATV's pulling trailers or moving dirt/buildings. We had food for 200 people and had to go get more; thanks to numerous people for bringing additional food, fruits, and deserts. We were able to clean up like never before (never ever), of course we have never before had that much clean up to do. About and hour into clean up Wind told me her crew was done with bleaching merchant buildings. So we were able to focus all of our efforts on the good of the whole faire.

That's such an awesomely heartwarming note. Thanks for sharing with us non-locals too!
