Yeah, that's the one I'm talking about.  I've walked right by it a couple times even when I was looking for it.

Stalkwell

Welcome to New Market Village, my good travellers!!

Some of the list to try (if you have the time):

The Queen's Pantry has a marvelous breakfast apple pie porridge.  Quite stout, stick to your ribs stuff.  And they have a quite passable Bangers and Mash.  And don't miss their scrumptious pastries.  Unfortunately, very few tables around for seating, but if you go across the lane to the Pavilion, there are outdoor cafe' styled seats where you can get hot and cold beverages to suit.  They have an excellent Russian Tea (hot citrus/mulling spice mix), and all types of drinkable and chocolate things.  It also turns out to be a good place to watch parade at noonish.

When are you arriving?

The Barbarian Inn is a great venue. (I might be somewhat biased.) The - I think it's called the Doubloon - it's shrimp with a slice of jalapeno, wrapped in bacon, with French dressing on it. The food is good, the venue itself is nice and spacious and uncrowded, and it has Sholo and the Braggarts doing their respective things. Two thumbs up! The Old Lady says check it out.

Lady Addilay is working in Houston on Thursday and I will be arriving later on thursday staying in The Woodlands. Will be at Faire both days. Coming from the midlands (Iowa ).

The food in the arborhaus is the same price as most other food at faire... they just bring it to you. you can get most of the same things at the booths in the German section. I agree on the Royal Hamburg but do it RIGHT with the saurkraut, mustard and mushrooms... ordering it without is blasphemy! Also for good beer try out the Brigadoon Brewery... they have some of their own brews! I love the pulled pork sundae. i tried the etoufee last week and it was good as well.

I'd kill for some of the Polish food as well..minus the blood sausage....but mmm..Hamburg....and a reuben.

I like the German Arborhaus and the Greek Agora. The Arborhaus has service, while the Agora is catch a seat as you can.
But the food at both was plentiful and made well.

Have to agree with what has been posted so far. Royal Hamburg is yummy. Cabbage rolls and pierogies at the Polish place (where Iris & Rose are) is my favoriate, as is the Greek Agora.

And that pork sundae is total binge-drinking food, LOL!

<3 the food at TRF. Hoping we can make it yet this year but still iffy at the moment.

Where do we find the Royal Hamburg?

The Royal Hamburger is in the German area, the very back of the faire.  When you enter the gates, just keeping walking straight ahead hugging the right side shops.  Just before you hit the stage and restrooms in the back corner you will see the food booths on the right and I believe the Hamburger has a sign hanging in front of the booth.

On the TRF Map, it's just above the Arborhause - German Beer Garden.
