Adding fabric to French seamed chemise

I'm probably making this harder than necessary, but I can't wrap my mind around how to do this. I wanted to make a chemise out of this great fabric I found, knew there was probably not quite enough fabric, and did it anyway. So now I'm just a few inches shy on the length to be confident it will stay tucked in to my skirts. It's French seamed save the bottom which is still unhemmed. How can I add a few inches to the bottom of this piece? Thanks for any brilliant ideas!

I guess my question is more technical in how to integrate it into the side seam. Unless I wouldn't?

Don't bother.  Just make your additional length piece with side seams that match up with the ones on the top and fell it together in the middle.
