Does anyone have instructions for a quick and simple short chemise? I will be making it as a shirt for my toddler, and I have only about a day to complete it. By simple, I mean really simple. Up until today I have done all of my sewing for the past several years by hand, due to lack of a working sewing machine. I have almost finished my son's pants, and my hands are killing me (massage therapist) so in desperation I finally went out and got a machine so I can make his shirt. I will have to be able to hand draft the pattern and haven't done any serious machine sewing since high school (over a decade ago). So, really, really simple. Any help would be appreciated,  thanks.

This is the one I started with, and it's usually the one I still use. It's not hard to do, and the instructions are pretty straightforward. http://www.reddawn.net/costume/chemise.htm

Since it's for a toddler, maybe a t-tunic?

I've used this for my nephews and they love their outfits.

Hoping I'm not late to the party, but I would do a really simple rectangular construction chemise / shirt. 2 rectangles for the body (front and back), 2 for the sleeves, cut out a neck line, add collar if desired (that can also be a rectangle if you want!)
