So I just finished my first set of homemade garb! It's not perfect, but I like it :)
It will be premiering at a LARP next weekend.  I'm aware my one sleeve is undone in the first pic (it's fixed now).

A better view of the hat feathers (I was fixing my sleeve and my friend took a pic)

Your warning is too late, I'm already planning my next set ;)

Congratulations!  Soon enough, you'll be planning things to make for others!

I know... it doesn't take very long, at all!  Once you prove to yourself you can do it... it's all downhill from there!  And the next set will be more ambitious than the first, and it just snowballs!  LOL  Next thing you know you'll be planning Nobles!  ;D

Great start!  Looks like you are on your way to making garb and the need for that second closet (or third one so you can do more than one century...) For the next bodice, maybe go down one or two sizes in the pattern as it does look a bit loose.  (What they say on the pattern and what you really cut out are never the same.  Cut out your jeans size, not what the pattern tells you too)

I had a blast NPCing at the LARP, and the garb worked well. Now to get started on my PC's garb/next year's faire garb (and my Katara cosplay  ;))

Great job!  Now you will find yourself looking at EVERYTHING with the idea of "How could I use this in/as/for garb"!
I'm not fat, it's just that a skinny body couldn't hold ALL THIS PERSONALITY! ;)
