Ice cube dilema

The Amadan

For a few days, ever time I'd go for ice from the 'fridge dispenser, I'd only get a small amount... and then... nothing.
A quick look inside...sure enough, the bin was empty.
Who the heck was using SO much ice?

A couple days ago, my daughter came to me and said "Zeus has ice!"
(Zeus is our English Mastiff, and both our dogs love ice as a treat.)
My reply was something to the effect of "he's allowed."
My daughter responded: "No, Dad, you don't understand...Zeus is GETTING the ice.".

Sure enough, the big goober has figured out how to get ice from the 'fridge.
Since he's above eye level with the dispenser, it's easy for him.
I scolded him... the funniest part is: after being reprimanded, he went to the mudroom, and stood facing the corner like a toddler in "time out".

I caught him a couple more times... Our German Shepherd sitting right next to him waiting for "fallout".
If it weren't for having to disinfect the 'fridge from all his slobber (he drools like Niagara Falls) it would be funny.
We now keep 2 plastic cups in the dispenser, which makes it impossible for him to 'help himself', but makes it easy for us humans to have the convenience.

FurryKids...gotta love 'em!

Sounds like something we saw on Funny videos. There was a big doggy that kept going to the fridge and kept punching the water dispenser drinking. Too funny. :D I love big doggies.

How funny!!!  Our dog loves ice also.  She thinks she's getting away with something when she grabs the ice we drop on the floor.

I was thinking the same as Clover...get him on tape and you could win some money!
Got faerie dust?

lol another one on funniest home videos was the family that would put toast or bagels in the toaster and walk away and come back to have no idea where the heck the toast was! they set up a camera and found out their dalmation was stealing it and running away.

Bf had a dog that managed to get into the chocolate donuts... he got up onto the stove opened the box, without displacing any of the other donuts and got the choco on choco one and closed the box, then layed down with it on his paws and every time someone walked by he layed his head on his paws the only reason he got caught was because he had chocolate on his face...

I had a little Pomeranian who looked like a little angel, but was in fact the anti-Christ - my son used to call him "crackhead."  When he got in trouble - which was often - I'd tell him: Kitchen, Zippo! and off he'd scurry to time out, snarling all the way.  My son used to send him to the kitchen to amuse his friends.

I snorted, and LOL'd!
I learned quickly, with owning the big dogs, to watch everything that's even remotely within their reach!
Left a pizza on the counter, left, and went to a meeting... came back, hungry for leftovers.. found a not-so-hungry St Bernard mix, burping alot!

Great stories all ... sigh ... and I STILL want a dog!

I would just feel bad leaving him/her alone while at work.

That's why you get two dogs :D. Of course, mine spend all day hanging out in the back yard, too. Much as I love 'em, I wouldn't want them in the house alone all day. They'd find creative ways to entertain themselves.

They sure love an ice cube snack in the evenings when we get home, though!
