No Queen Anne in 2014?

I'm in NY and have never been to Scarby but year after year I always admire the pictures of this festival.  Not very many festivals have Henry VIII as the ruling monarch and I find the King's "Great Matter" with Anne Boleyn to be fascinating.  From looking at pics I quickly identified the actress with the "B" necklace as Anne but I don't see her in anyone's 2014 pics.  Has Scarby Henry moved on to another queen this year after so many years with Anne?  What's the scoop?

The actress who played Queen Anne for many years chose to retire at the end of the 2013 season.

I'm guessing that there's probably going to be a break of a couple of years, where King Henry VIII and his sister Queen Margaret (of Scotland & the Isles) are the main figurehead characters, before they try to cast another Queen for Henry.

You can see the cast of characters listed here if you like.
There was some talk of casting one of Henry's later Queens; but I believe they held off on that in case Anne Boleyn should decide to return next year.

Awww...  Well good for her.  I'm glad to hear the change wasn't due to anything tragic.  That's great that they are leaving room for her to change her mind.

In 2013 there was a big emotional sendoff for her (Shannon Hobbs).   I think you can still find the video link on FB or perhaps somewhere here.
I believe she is a professional actress; and I think the photo of her sitting on a throne holding a sword in the 23rd issue of Renaissance magazine, is still one of the most stunning pictures to ever grace the cover.  It could have been a screen cap worthy of the Tudors series.

I believe her husband's business is taking up a lot of their time-he designs and makes scary prosthetic masks and special effect pieces for haunted houses and film.
What doesn't kill me-had better run.

Shannon Hopps (your 'b's were inverted, Rowen). She is indeed a stunning presence. Her retirement, as I understand it, was in order to focus more on her husband's work with haunting her enemies....  ;)  They are both incredibly talented, and in years past, she was also with Dallas FD (I believe).  She is adored by all who have been in her presence...

Unfortunately, Shannon has declined to return as Queen Anne.
We are continuing with Queen Margaret of Scotland as the Faire's Queen.  ;D
If, at some future date, they Faire decides to cast another Queen of England, it will not be Shannon.  :'(

I just noticed on the Book of Faces that Shannon has been elevated to the position of Captain in the Dallas Fire & Rescue.  Just added proof of her awesomeness.  I know that VIII misses her after so many years of being king to her queen...

I'd kind of like to secretly shadow VIII & Margaret, listening on a secret microphone, just to hear the hilarity that I know must ensue when the 2 of you are running amok...

Again, you people have no idea! Janna is a heartless comedienne, with an almost constant output of raucous commentary! I'm surprised I can breathe sometimes...

Hey try holding military bearing while at cross arms and hearing some of the comments she makes.   :o   I'm starting to wonder if she is keeping score on how many of the QOH she makes smile while in line.  Harder than not smiling passing the belly dancers.
