And it was black. On light-colored linen. I heard people hear caution against using bleach cause it eats natural fibres...will a stain-removing pen cause the same problem?
I must say after the linen-scratching problem, and now this, I'm tempted to throw the thing out, but we leave to drive down to fest at 5 am tommorrow, and I really LOVE how the shirt turned out otherwise.

i would say try a stain remover pen on a very small and discreet part of the shirt, if it works, then do it for the whole shirt!

my grandma had this weird receipe of breaking up stains

she would rub the stain with vinegar, get it soaked
and then vigorously rub baking soda on the stain
rinse with club soda

lol, weird, and stinky, but it got the stain out

ever use oxy-clean? it sounds like your grandma's cleaning receipe cleans in the same manor. oxygen bubbles have amazing cleaning abilities.

I've decided I hate oxyclean. It didn't do a dang thing getting red & black dye out of a white chemise.   I had gotten red and black dye on a white chemise from the sweat causing the dyes to drip and when I got home and soaked it...  not a thing came out.  ::grumble::

remember that using OXY-CLEAN requires HOT WATER... if you try using it in cold water, it will NOT work at all.
