Yes, It's almost that time of year again. I'm going a different direction and putting in my bid for a booth there. I want to have a pirate tattoo parlor. Me, as a pirate, applying temp tatts to the little landlubbers and pirates.
The carnival is on October 25, but I need to ask in advance.
Since temporay tatts in bulk are expensive, I wish to ask you all if you know of, or could possibly donate some temp tatts for this.
For every booth, the majority of the prizes, etc, are donated. What will be charged for the tatt at my booth, I'm asking either a quarter or 50 cents, goes to the school.
I feel like what they charge for the tatts, ( I spent over an hour on the web looking), is outragous. I looked at OTC, and they are even pricey.

I'm also going to ask around here, in my po dunk little hick town, but even the wealthy here are tight fisted with donations, but I will try.

I would need atleast a 1000 tatts, yes, I know, I may not have 1000 kids come through there, but I would rather have too many, than not enough. What is left over, will go towards next year, or I will donate them.

If you are interested, please let me know. It would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you in advance. ~Clover~

Even though I can't donate anything, is there a Walmart nearby?  If you can, talk to the school and get a brief description of the carnival (and possibly specifically your booth) printed on a school letterhead.  Then, you can call Walmart and talk to a manager about the carnival, and find out if they'll give you a gift card donation(I'd check to see if they have any tattoos that you'd like first, of course).  My store does this -all- the time, and it's usually a $20-$25 donation.  It's worth a shot, at the least.  I hope you get everything you need, 'cause it's a really awesome idea!

While at Wal-Mart, check out the crafts section.  I beleive I saw a "Print your own" Temporary Tattoos package in my local WM.  I am not sure how much they were, but it would be a heck of a lot cheaper than buying packages of the blasted things.

you might check the dollar store too, sometimes they have whole packs of em, i used em as party favors one time in elementary school...

Have you thought of trying to freehand or stencil draw the tattoos on.  Pens for that purpose may be cheaper, and give you more of a feel of a tattoo parlor.  While googling I also found this neat little gadget that sort of buzzes and vibrates like a real tattoo pen.

What a great idea for a carnival booth!!

I second the recommendation to check the dollar store. They almost always have packages of temporary tattoos and there are usually quite a few in a package. They come in sheets, so you'll have to cut them up into individual tats, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying the ones that come on their own individual squares. We used to buy thousands of tats every year for the belly dance troupe my girlfriend was in- they  liked to put those tribal armband designs on their wrists and ankles and such.

I'm not sure if something like this would work out for you, but I was at A.C. Moore {like Michael's, etc.} and saw some "Tattoo Markers" ; one would draw the temporary 'tattoo' directly on the person - I think, I didn't look too closely at the packaging or the instructions, or haw many 'tattoos' each package makes, but the cost wasn't more than $10 per package.

Your booth sounds like fun! Good Luck!  ;D
