I seriously need help. my art school classes require I pass a college level math course inorder to graduate. I scraped by on my prerequisit Elelmentery Algebra class last fall.....now I am in the college math class.
I am a complete dunce with math, it looks like gibberish & soon I will be speaking gibberish as they haul me off to the looney bin.

we are working on Graphing equations.... I understand solving for x to find y and all that... then they throw this at me.... 3x=-2

Generally as long as i can find an example I am ok & can figure out how to solve it...but i am either just really gettign tired & frustrated or i used up my supply of brain cells today... I need help.

Hehe, easy, it will be a straight line!
rearrange the equation so you have x by itself....

x = -2/3
Ie, no matter what value you have for y, x will always be -2/3!
(Note that this will be a vertical line crossing the x-axis at x = -2/3.

Have a good night!

Thanks Naween, I figured it would be a straight line, I just couldnt wrap my head around how to write it out.

I should know better than to wait till late to work on this stuff.

Good Night!

I'm with you Muffin. I stopped taking Math as soon as I could.
My daughter on the other hand is taking Math classes two to three years ahead of what she is supposed to.
