OK, I'll see if I can fit one in.  This month's sewing list is:

Customer projects:
Pair of jeans (ready for fitting next Tuesday)
Pleated tartan skirt (fully Lined)
1920's frock*
1812ish pink silk gown with lace over dress*
Elizabeth Bennett style hat (two versions)*
Set of humongus floor cushions!
* toiles: deadline for finished items end of October

Personal & Family projects:

Complete Mage Robe (3/4 done)
Complete Big Sis's coat (1/4 done)
Copmplete mum's skirt (1/2 done)

I'm sure there's room in there for a a smock or chemise of some sort.  And I KNOW I have the fabric, though I may run out of thread...

There are 3 drawers like this, and three of serger cones, plus a couple more boxes of heavy threads
that wouldn't fit in.

So do I take this as the kick in the butt to actually figure out the neck gussets in a high-necked smock instead of just throwing a partlet over my Italian chemises? lol
ETA: Who knows... I might even get ambitious enough to turn this into my "Iron Hand" project.

I only make chemises every 10.th year, hihi.... (I've made two chemises in my life, the first in 1998 and the second in 2008). I made my new one in April:

It's made of medium thick linen, after Jennifer Thompson's pattern. Very good pattern. I've used Vicentine lace in the neck opening (meaning no drawstring there, only fixed pleats), and the sleeves can be gathered at the cuffs using a (homemade) braided white cotton thread. It's very comfy, and very Venetian...

I just finished mine on August 30th...does it still count...it was from scraps?  I'll post pictures later.

I should have added.... mine was made from scraps/leftovers too (except the lace). I didn't miss the point totally! Hehehe.

I pledge to finish 2 pair of bloomers for a friend of mine before the end of the month..(I have to, I'm moving and won't be able to give them to her if I wait any longer)..  My intention after moving is to open a box of fabric and make what ever that fabric was for before buying any more.... :D

I have one chemise in progress--it was sitting sleeveless and collarless in my stash (discarded in favor of the two linen chemises I have with blackwork trim), and I hand sewed a collar on it during faire hours at Bristol and trimmed the collar with gimp. That was because I frantically needed a third chemise for Labor Day weekend. Then I remembered that a friend had left me her high quality blackwork trimmed noble's chemise for me to try on, so I didn't need to stay up sewing the simpler chemise for Monday morning.

So I promise to sew the sleeves on it by the end of the month, add some sort of wrist and collar closure and trim it a bit more. Once I get my simple navy linen bodice done so I can hang out with the Celts at Stronghold, that is. My normal Bristol garb is too dressy for a Celt to wear.
