So, Mr Bond and I are working on an X-Kilt, we are in the Ironing/Measuring/cutting Phase, here are some pics, by the way I realized Cats are the "Anti-Sew" >:(.

Mr Bond thinks humans are food, he is always biting us, and sewing...... Fugetabout it!!
Thread excites him, fabric hanging off the sewing table is a good fabric ladder, warm fabric out of the dryer is a bed, every piece of material needs to be hairier!

Maybe I should make him a Kilt too, since he helped me so much. >:(

I have seen dogs and even a tortoise wearing a kilt, but never a cat!

AWWW!  Kitty is beautiful!  Cornflake is the one most interested in 'helping' with the sewing.  I had to turf him off the WHITE SATIN WEDDING DRESS I was sewing last night!  EEEK!  So he hopped back up on the work table and snuggled down in the WHITE broidery anglaise top for another customer!  Here he is helping with another recent project:

Alright, so the cats are counter-productive in the sewing process, but when I get mad at a pattern or a fabric, or my machine, I am glad when a kitty is near, so instead of punching my sewing machine because threads from my fabric are getting caught and have to be cut out out that bastard, making runs that only I will see anywayz, I can step away for a sec, pet the cat and chill-the-hell-out.

There's nothing quite so relaxing as 10 minutes a snuggling with a friendly mog!   :)

And nothing so frustrating as trying to sew or type with that same friendly mog in your lap/up your nose and playing with the keyboard/pins/fabric, or chewing the pencil as you draw!!

oi, this thread makes me realizing i have little under 2 months till opening day, and I don't have any completed pieces of garb. and i cant wear most of my stuff from the past years because i lost weight. so yay! and awww :( lol

I am the biggest wuss when it comes to cats. Wonderful photos. It makes me want to cuddle and give them kisses.

Which is why, due to all the stuff I do and clients allergic to them, that I cannot have them around. The last thing I need is cat hair all over a cleint's wedding dress or custom made garb.

When we had a cat, I had to keep locking her in the bathroom while I sewed.  I wasnt getting anything done and she kept messing up the fabric.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

At least all of your sewing assistants have fur. My naked boy likes to lay on my projects. The good news is that he doesn't leave hair on it.  :D

oh, thank you!!! I know they are such an acquired taste, lol! He was a foster of mine, and he has his share of issues. So I had decided that if he was still my foster after one year, I would keep him. I love him so much. : )

LadyStitch - sounds like a working weekend! Hang in there; we're thinking of you!

Lady Kathleen - Wow. Your work motivates me to graduate from T-tunics sooner rather than later. Verily wow!
Actually got all of it done and STILL had time to do the BBQ and other fun things with the Pink Pirate.  ;D
Granted I fell asleep at the sewing machine 3 times on Friday night, but the work got done. I'm just happy that I have all the projects done.  Whent he worst that I have to do is sew some hook and eyes on dresses that this point.  I'm happy!

Of course I'm in the plotting stages of my next project I want to do.  Am I just a glutton for punishment.
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.
