Valencia

You did such an amazing job on it, I love it!!

I've been working on a JP Ryan frock coat, I did the lining / mockup earlier this month. Last night, I finished the pockets, and got the fronts attached to the backs, so it finally looks like a coat.

I'm hoping to get the sleeves on today, we'll see how that goes, lol...

Lady Kathleen,
The first picture is me pinching the strips of green as they will be and a pearl will be sewn over the pinch.  The background is a lavender and silver shot taffeta that looks lovely.  I have run into a snag though.  When I pinch the green it causes the purple to bunch a little...meaning I should have left a little slack room in the green for pinching...which might mean I will be doing a lot of seam ripping and laying in new green....not fun...

Lord Paulet, that is looking great. Can't wait to see it finished. Good luck on the pinching.

Lady Isabella, saloon girl is looking good too.

Nice frock coat Valencia

And great work on the cartridge pleated skirt Auntiegiggles

Okay here is My Lords new long doublet. I need to finish the sleeves, more trim and faux buttons.
Then on to mine and two shirts and breeches or two. Will see how it goes. Faire is getting close.

Auntigiggles those pleats look wonderful.  Hopefully my first attempt will look as good as yours.

DragonWing - great job on the doublet.  It is looking extremely well.
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

Royal Order of Landsharks Guppy # 98 :)

Lady Rebecca

I finally uploaded some pictures of my stays progress. They are fully boned between two layers of canvas (I decided to skip the fashion fabric and liner). I've been hand-binding all the eyelets, and I have to do all the bias binding by hand as well. But then I'll be done!

All the binding and lacing will be a pale olive green. The stays are based on a picture of the JP Ryan pattern, which I sketched out from the computer and enlarged, then changed the front so that it would lace over a stomacher, since I'm going more for a 17th century look.

Looking good!  Love the gold doublet and the blue stays in particular, but everything is looking grand.   :D

Thanks Dragon wing - excellent job on the long doublet!   ;D

Lady Shadow - thank you!  I am sure your first attempt will go just as well if not better  :D

Great job Lady Rebecca!

Lady Rebecca that looks soooo good. Cant wait to see the green on it.
Thanks Dragonwing. I adore the new doublet fabric!

LordPaulet

OK....all the green strips have been mercilessly ripped out...and am now in the grueling process of putting them back on.  I expect to be done tonight.  Pics to follow when done...this had better work....

Im not looking the greatest...but the doublet is!! :D

Pinches are currently held by pins until I decide I have the time to set them with a needle and thread and pearls.  (probably after the waist and shoulder treatments are applied...)
:D

LP, that is AWESOME. Those colors rock. And you put it back together pretty fast--wow!

Quick terrible shots of my WIPs...

The embroidered smock is coming along... predictably slowly. After stitching for ~2 months, I've gotten about 1/4 of one sleeve done:

(I'm sure everyone here knows how big a chemise sleeve is, but for reference, it's sitting on my 36x24" cutting mat.)

And a closeup of the stitching:

For those who don't remember, this is what became of the fabric from this thread.

And one new Much Ado mockup progress pic:

Slowly getting a little closer on the first bodice....
