Queen Bonnie,

It appears your spell may have stopped the rains over in Lee County (Giddings area), since the Austin TV weather forecasters are saying it may not even rain here after all.  In McDade, there are some light gusty winds - not even as much as a Summer Thunderstorm.

Sending well wishes and happy thoughts to Queen Bonnie and those affected by Ike. :)

We need the rain! I did not mean to stop that part. Too much tail of Newt? LOL!
Glad you are safe David! Hugs to Lynn and Paul!

I am so glad you are safe, Madame! I thank you for your kind welcome. I often find weather work more exhilarating than I think it should really be, considering the occasional consequence. Calling weather, at any rate... dispersing it can indeed be quite exhausting! I slept until noon today!! Of course, I did not fall into sleep until there was light on the horizon, but I still feel sluggish and drained. I will try to be more careful next time!

My name is actually Zemirah, with Rani being a Roma honorific, meaning Lady. You may address me in whatever manner you wish, however, and I will count myself fortunate that you address me at all! I witness the esteem and affection with which your subjects regard you, and I am intrigued to acquaint myself with those qualities which do inspire such devotion! I look forward to getting to know you in days to come.

I hope this day finds you well!

Blessings,
Zemirah

Ho Queen Bonnie.. I too drug in all the blow about items around..my helper mate had to travel Dallas way or I would have commissioned him to assist you in your labors.  And sign not a drop of rain and barely a puff of blow here.  Maybe a bit of salamander to the Ike mix!    :'(  Lynn

I should have put croak of toad and hop of frog in the Ike mix! LOL.Perhaps the bottles got mixed up with spit of camel?
Today is put it all back to normal day. I have everything back except the 2 monster hanging ferns and pool umbrella. I need to find a taller helping hand for those. Vertically challenged is sometimes a challenge indeed! Pond needed water and my poor roses!
I am thankful we are all OK here- and can get easily back to normal.
I also look forward to getting to know you Zemirah! Pretty name.

Queen Bonnie,

Lynn and I will be over in Elgin this afternoon to eat some dinner.  We can stop by and help with getting the last few items put back in place at Meow Manor.  What time would work best for you?

Do you have a good, sturdy step-ladder?

Take Care,
David Baldock

BTW: It did rain just under 1/2" here in McDade last night.

Your Majesty,

I am happy to hear that you are safe, and have not much work to put things right again. I do understand about vertical challenges, being not terribly ... err ... lengthy, myself! I am glad that you have so many willing subjects ready to come do your bidding, though. You must be a truly benevolent Monarch to have inspired such devotion and sincere affection throughout your realm.

I will check my "recipe" books to see if the camel spit could be the culprit. It sounds a likely candidate! Those pesky camels are always spitting somewhere they shouldn't!!  :P  We have, however, really been enjoying the rain and cooler weather here.

Thank you for the compliment, Majesty. Zemirah is a family name meaning "Joyous Melody". I also look forward to getting better acquainted with you, and your many fascinating subjects!

I hope you enjoy this beautiful day!

Blessings,
Rani Zemirah

I shall keep my camels away from the potion room in the future!  With the impending storm all was in disarray here- for a few moments at least!
I am sure that is what dried up the rain here. The house elves are moving the potions back to the Wizards tower. Lets see Amahl and Omar the camels, climb those steps! I think NOT!
We have had a bit cooler weather here- but alas- no rain.
I used a magick spell and managed to get the pool umbrella back in place- all by myself! Lord A would have been proud of me!  Now the Ferns present another problem to be overcome. Both I and the house elves are too short. I shall put my wizard's cap on.A solution will come to me anon!
Setting a cooler spell in place for next weekend - for my evil pirate twin sister. Pirate weekend at Serendipity Haven! I sold her pirate beads- she had better sell my crystals and wands and staffs or I'll sic the moat monster, Squelch, on her!LOL! I bet she steals- er borrows my jewelry again too! Locking up the silverware!

(heavy sigh)  Oh to be at Faire...

I have until April to wait, since the caravan cannot travel without feed for the horses and there is no Faire here until then. I try my best to banish this (r)envy of you fortunate souls, but I must confess to tinges of green in my vision each time I read that you all have so many weekends to enjoy the lanes. Our Faire lasts three days only, then it is all just counting until next year. Perhaps I will vend next season at another (semi-)local venue, that way I can enjoy myself, and feed the horses at the same time! Hmmmm....

I have been busy creating things to  vend at Serendipity Haven. I love the creating- not so sure I love the selling- but time will tell. It has been cooler here so the Evil PirateTwin might be more comfortable. She always complains about the weather- even when my spells are PURRRFECT!  Looking forward to more faire! Then only a few weeks until TRF. I will be making merry there- not vending! Huzzah!
Move to TX Zemirah! I know horses are way more expensive to feed than my Royal Felines! LOL! We have lots of faires- and more in the works!

As much as I would love to attend your many wonderful Faires, Majesty, I fear your weather would soon melt me into a small puddle! I can barely tolerate the weather just to your north, and spend most of the summer (and some of the spring and fall) hiding from the heat, humidity and sun. The Kingdom of Colorado has more my type of climate, but I have elderly grandparents and a young daughter who need as much family time as I am able to give them, while we are all still present on this plane of existence.

Horses are indeed expensive to feed, especially in today's marketplace! Mine seem doubly cursed, as well, and I fear may have contracted Plague! They currently suppurate foul black fluid from below, and I fear may needs be put down, or at least suffer a visit to the local Chirurgeon (who surely shall leave me fit for naught but debtor's prison!).

Perhaps I will be able to visit your fair Faire someday. I will certainly contrive to make it so at some future time! A leisurely stroll of the Lanes with your sublime self sounds a lovely way to while away the afternoon! Anon, my Queen.

You'll have to plan for the end of TRF or the beginning of Scarby, Zemirah - it's cooler then!  We even had snow on opening day of Scarby 2007.

Sounds lovely! I've been busy planning (and purchasing materials for) cooler weather garb the last few weeks. Would love to actually be able to wear a cloak, at least in the morning or evening. I have some leather and lovely brocades that I've been itching to dig a needle into, as well.

Now if I can just get the "horses" healthy and fed... as I would hate for them to keel over and die on the side of the high road!

AHHHH We survived IKE... 6 days of no power... 4 days of no phones.(even the cell tower was down!).... and worse the 16 horses needing water! We had to share one magical Generation device between 3 castles... running it for a few hours each to keep the magical Freezers charged and frozen! And an hour on High power to run the wells so we could collect water for our castles plumbing and the horses.  Made for a hair raising few days! After 4.5 days we finally got another 2 power generation items... amazing the magic avalible to wizards these days.

The day before the storm my arabian race gelding got snake bit, the 2 yr old filly with the cut leg torn down the fences in her pen and had to be moved. We have yet to get all the limbs and trees cut off the electric wires... UGGHH a spell I need an instant cleaning up spell!!!

But we were truly lucky that we were safe and sound in our new castle!

Bonnie, I can hardly wait to see you at fair! AHHHH I am ready now! Cat
