From what I heard from rumors and first hand from security:

Some groups staked their claims using ropes. When security is riding their ATVs between areas, hitting a rope is a bummer.

George (yeh "him") saw a RV with a large marked off area and no one else able to camp in the marked area.

From what I saw this weekend, folks who normally camp further down are now able to setup on the lower numbered rows. I met many folks who are usually not in the Chaos area and I enjoyed meeting with them so I have mixed feelings about the non-taping rule.

I heard the moron with the RV had such a large area roped off and no other campers joined him...that's why King George decided on no roping off anymore. If the RV guy didn't want other cmapers near him, he should have just stayed the heck home in my opinion.

But I didnt think about the officers on the 4 wheelers having to maneuver between the roped off areas. That had to be a pain in the rear, not seeing caution tape in the dark and driving into it.

And of course since one of our Valhalla friends couldn't rope off an area...Brigadoons spot was taken over by some freakin monks...even tho I was told they were freely giving drinks to some of Brigadoon and Valhalla and were nice and apologetic...I can't drink, so they didnt do anything to appease me.... >:( But...they only come out once a year...so hopefully this coming weekend, we can camp in our normal spot again.

 BrigaQueen,
You guys need to send someone out on Fridays even if it is to just drop stuff off.  Lately it has been Valhalla chasing off the riff raff for you folks.  If you'll have someone drop it Randy and I will spread it out to maximize Brigadoons well earned and hard fought area.

Yes, The no roping rule makes it imperative that a clan have a land grabber that can show up very early to stake a claim.

We hoped no one was extremely offended and hated that we ended up being the oldest groups wake up call. Sorry for anyone that was inconvenienced and assure you that next year we will have someone other than Brother Octavius be the first there  This was his first time to ever set camp.

It was I.  As I drove in from the front area, it was still a bit swampy and the entry road was still draining, I admit it, I made an early and complete lap then ran for high ground.  My apologies and if BrigaQueen will allow it, I will make it up to her, please just tell me the way.  In the chair with Bear is a no go.

Thanks Snylor...usually there are a few that get out there Thurs. nights or early Fri. mornings to start setting up and saving spots. But Ill try and get a hold of Randy...I don't know the next time he is coming out. Or I'm going to try and get out there myself Fri. afternoon after work...just depends on my schedule if I can swing it.

I think that over the years, the regular rennie campers know who camps where and won't infringe on other spots out of respect. Luckily we were still able to cram into Valhalla without any problems, however, we do like our usual spot and really hope that we won't have anymore issues keeping it. I'm a creature of habit...I don't like change lol....

ITts alright Octavius....just remember in the future...I don't drink booze....chocolate or fig newtons are my weakness  :P

What about chocolate covered fig newtons, I know people. ;D

Either way, I will never forget.

Yes I think chocolate covered fig newtons would work very well... wow...if only they actually made those...I'd be in big trouble!
