I realize that not being local makes things a little inconvenient, but is there anything that we can do from this end? We would be happy to help, if you just tell us what you need.

Peddlin, as always you awe awesome. Truly we are good. I will take any help offered but frankly we want the out-of-towners to come in and be free of tasked and just enjoy their faire and fellowship. This is an opportunity for us local to pamper you guys.

Okay ... times up!
Master James/ Lady G - can you guys tweak any of the hotel stuff in the Rendev area ... if you could refresh it and double check your info ... thanks guys!

Amras/Master James - can one of you guys start a thread in the Rendevous area titled "Rendevous 2009 Travel and Tourism info & help" or something like that. If we could get that started then solicit info/questions and such. ... thanks.

Lady Joyce Ann, I know you had made mention of helping with the social stuff, is that offer still good? If so I will have you lead the social committee with me your diligent servant! Let me know and we will exchange emails to get started.

The tailgate folks are already in the back rooms working their magic so that is good to go.

IS there anyone who wants to head the games committee? Someone creative who can generate fun stuff to do for the group.

dinkywench, are we still good for the name tags and such?

What else am I forgetting??????

I updated the KOA information and setup the thread under the Rendevous area so we are ready to go!  Done and Done!

Lodging listed is still relevant. Coutyards have been recommended. Days Inn I have stayed at and the other are what is recomended by MDRF website.

Okay, we are having a hell of a time finding a suitable Friday night gathering spot. Does anyone have any good ideas ... here is what we are looking for:

Bar/Restaurant
preferably separate party room with staff
handle large crowd 50 - 70 people
able to order from menu - not buy party trays
comfortable
Able to handle rennies! We can get LOUD!
Good bar selection

What about the Pirate Tavern in Silver Spring I think it is?  Pyrates Royale played there so they have to be able to handle us!

Yeah, I wanted to keep it closer to faire ... I figure most of the Out-of-towners would be lodging up this way.
The ideal place would be that pub in Fredericksburg you set up last year, Fox and Hound type place - separate room with staff, well worth the $100 fee for use!

I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help. Most of the places I know of are in the Carroll County area and too far. Maybe something in the Glen Burnie area. I think Annapolis is going to be tough.

Yeah it has been tough thus far ... the problem with Annapolis is the feaking parking. Especially on a Friday night of a long weekend. Have to avoid routes close to the bridge because there will be a backup from hell there heading to the Eastern Shore.
