The Update:  Sorry it's taken so long to get this out, been kinda Holiday Hectic.
Robbies' surgery on the 17th went as well as it could.  The doc removed the damaged lens/cateract and pronounced that his retna looked completely undamaged.  He said that he "sees no reason that they should not be able to restore more or less normal sight in that eye."  HAPPY DANCE!  The downside is that the muscles that contract the iris (pupil) are shot. His pupil is stuck at the size it now is (about ¾ open) will no longer be light reactive and he'll have some light sensitivity on that side.  All things considered, a pretty positive outlook. The Doc says that he has removed many eyes due to just that type of injury.  Paula is calling it a miracle.  I'm inclined to agree.

We are not out of the woods yet.  There will be rechecks, and another surgery in about a month to replace the lens that was removed, more rechecks and therapy.

PLEASE, keep those candles burning, bells ringing, good energy and prayers flowing.  In my opinion, it has clearly made a difference.

Yikes!  I know when I broken my cheek I was less than an inch from taking my eye out so I can only imagine what Robbie's going through.  I'm glad things are looking so promising for him!

Robbies surgery to replace the lens in his right eye has been scheduled for Feb. 23, Next monday.

This is it. The last surgery.  We need to make one more huge effort & focus.

Good thoughts, Good energy, healing prayers and magic, begged favors from the gods, wishes on stars, ..... we need it all.
So far, we've all done well by him.  Now is the time for one more big push.  Please please please, give him all you can.
