Does anyone know what the official temperature was last year during that Celtic Christmas saturday?  We were some freezing elves that day and Jingles really didn't like the bad snow (rain).  Thank god for the Texas Brass for sharing the gazebo with us and letting us just belt out the christmas songs they played and being generally silly with us.  The performance company had a super duper mega heater going on in the entertainment building, but only so many people could crowd in front of it.  I  was so disappointed since it was my last year officially cast and traditionally my most favorite weekend and character.
Here's hoping and praying that this year's weather next weekend is super fabulous!

According to the archive site I found (Houston Chronicle) the High was 46º and the low was 42º with a dew point of 38º and 100% humidity..... no kidding...

here is the website with all the data. It actually is the reported data for Hooks Airport, but close enough. You can go back or forward to check the surrounding dates too. Yeah, That Saturday was definately miserable. We bailed that morning as much as I hated to, we were just too cold and soaked to enjoy the day.

Coincidently the temps last year on Saturday, weren't much different from the temp out there today... it's just dryer today. LOL Still cold though.

Everthing I am seeing for next weekend is pretty much saying highs of 72º to 74º and lows in the 50's, with a slight 20% chance of a passing shower.... woopee.... no biggie there.... Sounds like a lovely weekend to me!
A chill in the air, over your shoulder, the Ice Queen's cold stare, you can only be one place. The Texas Ren Faire!

Our weather changes too quickly to really know what we're gonna get.  And since Texas is so big, as well the Houston area, the chances of any one spot getting rain is lessened.  So, until Wednesday rolls around we really won't know what we're gonna get.

And Charlie - THE HELL YOU SAY!  Snow is evil!  E V I L ! ! !   If I should die and go to hell, it will truly be the day that hell freezes over.  Did I mention that snow is evil?

Hubby and I went last year on Black Friday.  And no matter what I did to stay warm I was frozen to the core.  I am soooooo wishing that it wont rain.  And the rain chances disappear.  I really wanna go this Black Friday.  But everyone I am supposed to go with is starting to make "OTHER" plans because of the rain chance :(  PPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEE  NO RAIN!!!!

Any one want to do a "Go Away Rain Dance," please?
May the stars always shine upon you and yours.

I know Queen Bonnie will be working on a special weather spell for closing weekend.  She's done SO well this season!  We're hoping for nice weather for Friday too.  Bringing a friend of Lawrence's who hasn't been in years (and yes, we're going to try to get him to wear some of Lawrence's spare garb and accessories).

I hope Queen Bonnie's excellent work continues through this weekend.

Good luck with getting your friend to wear garb.  Maybe being the odd one out might help motivate the decision to don the garb.

I will jump on the bandwagon.  Bonnie needs to kick it in high gear for Friday.  I waited to wear my best garb for the closing weekend last year, and I got rained out.  I have been waiting all year again for closing, and I am hoping we don't have a repeat.  Come on Bonnie.  We are counting on you!

Capt. Bacardi

Well lets hope that Queen Bonnie's spells work, Muffins are not fun wet. Last year was cold and bone chilling, even for a guy from Minn. But what I have seen so far thye weather is looking pretty good for the weekend. ;D

You might be careful what you wish for Charlie... The Ice Queen Faerie and Jack Frost just might oblige your wishes as we are looking for a bit of mischief toget into anyway...  ;D
