and looking at the 10 day forcast it shows Thunderstorms and rain on T-day as well as Friday!!! NOooooo! Someone do some magic on the weather for this weekend and next, have it move by like two or three days off. No more rain at TRF, last Celtic weekend was horrible. My car was totaled on the way home by being rear ended in the rain in the middle of Magnolia.

Which part in the middle of the rear end of your car is the Magnolia?  Is it above or below the bumper?    ;D

Sorry to hear about the accident.  Was anybody hurt, and was the other driver fully insured?

Take Care,

I am praying for good weather for TRF over the last weekend!!! We leave MN in 4 days to head down there...

No Rain, No Rain, No Rain!!!!

Of course seeing as it is only 11 degrees today with a -0 windchill, anything would be better than this....  :-\

Weather.com is showing 40% for those two days but the temp should be in the mid 70's. 40% isn't enough to stop determined TRF'ers. I've seen it sheeting sideways in the upper 30's & there are still people trying to do faire.

At least you guys could move around or leave or something. Us worker-cicles had to suffer in place.

Praying for much warmer and drier weather closing weekend than last year. That sucked. The thing that kept me from freezing then was layers of thermals (silk thermals are amazing!) and electric scocks from Academy. Best $15 bucks spent all year!

I had hopeid that it would be very cool or cold, with NO rain. I don't mind a little mist or light drizzle. What I would love to see would be snow, now that would make feel like Christmas.

Also no one was seriously injured in the accident last year, just some bruises and a little bit of cut faces. the other driver was a friend of mine who hydroplaned and hit me. Unfortunately they had no insurance.

Closing weekend is still 6 days away (only counting to Thursday) and 40% chance usually means hit or miss.... not like last years HAIL, SLEET, SIDESWAYS RAIN, FREEZING WIND, AND SUPER COLD TEMPS. No, last year was unappealing even for an Ice Queen Faerie such as myself....

I surely was thanking the Gods for Zaubon, the camp SAVIOR, who had a fire lit and hot coffee to help us defrost under his EZ up and tarp shelter.
The other theng that helped me was some chemical handwarmer thingies that Blue gave me, which promptly went right into my bra..... funny as it sounds ithelped to bring my core temp back up. I was becoming quite hypothermic...

Thanks to the kind Fairamily that saved so many of us last year.  :-*

Well, with 6 days away a lot can change, let use pray for good weather. I just hope it's nice and cool, so I don't die in all that wool that I'll be wearing. That Great Kilt is 5 yards of wool by it's self, and plenty WARM!

Does anyone know what the official temperature was last year during that Celtic Christmas saturday?  We were some freezing elves that day and Jingles really didn't like the bad snow (rain).  Thank god for the Texas Brass for sharing the gazebo with us and letting us just belt out the christmas songs they played and being generally silly with us.  The performance company had a super duper mega heater going on in the entertainment building, but only so many people could crowd in front of it.  I  was so disappointed since it was my last year officially cast and traditionally my most favorite weekend and character.
Here's hoping and praying that this year's weather next weekend is super fabulous!
