AARG
« on: December 14, 2008, 07:31:30 PM »
Now that TRF is over  :'( when are we going to meet again for AARG?  I can't wait to see everyone again, 1 day at TRF in the rain wasn't nearly enough to see everyone.  I miss seeing my rennie family!

I will ask Moon Dawg/ Bear  When the next ARRG will be. I can't get there unless I get a ride. Don't drive after dark!
I miss all my faire friends too!

I'm also curious about AARG.  Is it occurring this month?

Can someone please clarify - - - Is it:

AARG - Austin Area Rennie Gathering ?

or

ARRG - Austin Ren Rat Gathering ?

Seems like I've seen both mentioned here on the Forums.

Take Care,

It started out ARRG. Perhaps Bear changed it? Both work!

Maybe we can come up with one more way to spell the gathering of rennies in the Austin area!

Is two names really enough ways to describe the fun?

Are there more words for the acronym ARRG? AARG? ARGH?  Rennie fun around Austin!
I hope to go to the Sherwood Forrest faire gathering on the 24th. How many others are going?

I'm making the trip up there for the Sherwood fair "preveiw" and will also be in attendance at AARG. Can't wait to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones!

I'll be at Sherwood's preview for sure. Hoping to peddle my wares there if the monetary situation allows setup of a tent or (big wish)put up a building.

Greetings!
This Saturday afternoon at Three PM there will be a guided tour of the Sherwood Forest faire Grounds at Paige TX which is east of Austin on US 290. All are welcome and there will be Ale afterwards courtesy of Rengypsy.
That evening is also the Austin Area Rennie gathering at the Dog and Duck and I am sure you really feel the need to put on garb and freak out the mundane's so come on down. I plan on being at both and in garb as well.
There are links below to the place where you can find info for both events.

I have had several emails concerning wearing garb to the AARG gathering this week. WEAR GARB! if you can wear it to faire you can wear it to the Dog & Duck. The mundane's love it! The only concerns ever expressed was concerning the carrying of Weapons and they courteously asked us not to do that but as far as costume/garb goes wear it.
Also if you want to use your own drinking vessel please feel free to do so! I always use my own and have had no complaints but they will measure it to see how much it holds so they will know what to charge you.
