Finally finished making my pop-tab project that I got from the lovely mieljolie.  Technically it is not quite done as I want to add some coins, but close enough.

Here's some wings I just finished (I've been on a crafting frenzy so I'll have stuff to sell at the Sherwood Gathering/Christmas Bazaar):

Beautiful work! What do you use to make your wings?

Gwen aka Punstergal

I make wings with just about anything and everything I can find (I'm a HUGE fan of recycling craft supplies). One of those was braided vines left to dry out after being glued in a wingish shape. The rest of them were frames made of heavy floral wire (the kind you just for big stems) wrapped with raffia and the middle part is some raffia-ish thread that is usually used for making dreamcatchers (I can't remember what it's called offhand, mine hasn't had a label in like 10 years).

Oh, I almost forgot the most recent piece! It was a true labor of love, about halfway through, I almost called it quits because the braid didn't want to lay flat like I wanted it.

Wow, Gwen!  I really like this last one!  Gorgeous!  Glad you didn't give up on it.  I think I have some of that gold rope around here and complete understand the difficulty you had with it.  It doesn't like twisting very well.  :)

I made this a few years ago for x-mas.

I made this about a year ago, I didn't stain it cause my passtime is sanding the poor thing.

The top is still a work in progress but the stand is finished.
